[Determination gentiopicrin in biyanqingdu granulae by SPE-HPLC].

Abstract

OBJECTIVE

The purpose was to develop SPE-HPLC method for the assay of gentiopicrin in Biyanqingdu Granulae.

METHODS

Separation was performed on a hypersil ODS(2) column (250 mm x 4.6 mm, 5 microm). The mobile phase consisted of methanol: water (30:70, v/v). The flow rate was 1 ml/min. The UV detect wavelength was set at 275nm.

RESULTS

Gentiopicrin had a good linear relation in the range of 0. 02235 - 0. 1676 mg/ml, the average recovery was 98.1% with RSD 1.7%.

CONCLUSION

The method is simple, sensitive and rapid and it can be applied to determine the content of Biyanqingdu Granulae.
