Abstract
OBJECTIVE
To study the chemical constituents from the root of Hedysarum multijugum.
METHOD
The compounds were separated by chromatographic methods, their structures were identified by spectral analysis.
RESULT
Four compounds were isolated and identified as soyasaponin II methyl ester (1), soyasaponin II (2), soyasaponin Bg (3), and soyasaponin I (4).
CONCLUSION
The four compounds were obtained from the plant for the first time. Compound 3 was isolated from the genus Hedysarum for the first time, and the NMR data of 3 was reported for the first time.
