[Effects of soybean isoflavones on relieving menopausal syndrome and osteoporosis].

Abstract

Soybean isoflavones are one kind of natural phytoestrogens. As it may have estrogen-like biological activities and no obvious side effects. Soybean isoflavones should be paid attention. It has been shown that soybean isoflavones could play an important role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, some kind of cancers, osteoporosis and alleviating menopausal syndrome. Their effects of soybean isoflavones on menopausal syndrome and osteoporosis were reviewed in this paper.
