Abstract
Chief of the Russia Armed Forces Medical Service makes an analyses of the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country and in the Armed Forces. The author estimates resulting labor losses, discharge and mortality rates among the military personnel by the classes of disease. He points out that the highest ratio correlation represent traumas, intoxication, circulation disorders and tumors. Preventive medicine's aims and principles should be formulated on the basis of morbidity rates among the servicemen in the army and Navy.
