Abstract
Based on the analysis of serial phlebograms (in 155 patients), kinematophlebograms (in 51 patients) and operative findings (in 42 patients), the authors differentiate 7 types of localization of venous occlusions of the lower extremities and pelvis in post-thrombophlebitic syndrome. The suggested classification is an aid in selecting the technic of surgical intervention. Further, the authors share their experience with reconstructive operations on the venous system in postthrombophlebitic syndrome of the lower extremities in 40 patients.
