- CONCLUSIONS: Compared with the lateral intercostal thoracic approach, the subxiphoid approach had advantages in terms of intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, tube extubation time, postoperative pleural drainage volume, postoperative VAS pain score, and analgesics dosage.
