  • Adaptive Distributed Differential Evolution. [Journal Article]
IEEE Trans Cybern 2019Zhan ZH, Wang ZJ, … Zhang J
  • Due to the increasing complexity of optimization problems, distributed differential evolution (DDE) has become a promising approach for global optimization. However, similar to the centralized algorithms, DDE also faces the difficulty of strategies' selection and parameters' setting. To deal with such problems effectively, this article proposes an adaptive DDE (ADDE) to relieve the sensitivity of…
  • Prospective Peer Review in Radiotherapy Treatment Planning: Long-term Results from a Longitudinal Study. [Journal Article]
Pract Radiat Oncol 2019Cox BW, Teckie S, … Potters L
  • CONCLUSIONS: The PES can transparently quantify clinical performance in a single metric. The PES was impactful, with 75% of physicians demonstrating improvement in their CR GPA. In contrast to traditional chart rounds, this peer review was meaningful when done before planning commenced, a trend that was observed throughout the study period. 27.9% of all cases required modification before starting treatment planning and 6.2% of cases required significant remediation.
  • Senescent human melanocytes drive skin ageing via paracrine telomere dysfunction. [Journal Article]
    EMBO J 2019; :e101982Victorelli S, Lagnado A, … Passos JF
  • Cellular senescence has been shown to contribute to skin ageing. However, the role of melanocytes in the process is understudied. Our data show that melanocytes are the only epidermal cell type to express the senescence marker p16INK4A during human skin ageing. Aged melanocytes also display additional markers of senescence such as reduced HMGB1 and dysfunctional telomeres, without detectable telo…
  • Adsorption of chromium by functionalized metal organic frameworks from aqueous solution. [Journal Article]
    Environ Technol 2019; :1-26Xiao X, Deng Y, … Gao Y
  • Based on Cu-BTC metal-organic framework, thiol-functionalized and amino functionalized materials were prepared by the modified Stöber method. Then, the Cu3(BTC)2 and the functionalized materials were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, SEM-EDS and FT-IR analysis. The adsorption properties of two materials for Cr(VI) were investigated. Both functionalized materials show good adsorption un…
