    Int J Phytoremediation. 2020; 22(8):804-818.Nayak S, S R, … Kale P
  • Sukinda Valley, one of the highly polluted areas of the world is generating tons of mining waste and causing serious health and environmental issues in its surroundings. The review highlights the pros…
  • Alexia without Agraphia-report of Five Cases and Review of Literature. [Case Reports]
    J Assoc Physicians India. 2019 Jul; 67(7):78-80.S S, Mathew R, P B

  • A tale of four valves: outcome of Brucella endocarditis: a case series. [Journal Article]
    Eur Heart J Case Rep. 2019 Jun 01; 3(2)Kulkarni SK, Bhairappa S, … P B
  • CONCLUSIONS: Brucellosis is a challenging diagnosis to make. The diagnosis and treatment is often delayed as it presents with non-specific symptoms and signs. Cardiac involvement occurs in only 2% of the cases, but accounts for 80% of the mortality due to brucellosis. Brucella endocarditis should be suspected in cases of endocarditis with negative blood cultures and a risk of exposure. The most accepted treatment for Brucella endocarditis is a combination of antimicrobial therapy with surgery.
  • Spectral Analysis of Codons in the DNA Sequence of Fragile X Syndrome. [Journal Article]
    J Med Syst. 2019 Jul 02; 43(8):261.S JB, P B
  • There are frequent studies undergoing related to the Fragile X syndrome caused due to the triplet CGG replicates on the X chromosome of Fragile X Mental Retardation 1 (FMR1) gene. Mutations of this chromosome can lead to Fragile X syndrome, rational disability, and other cognitive discrepancies. A novel approach based on Rajan Transform is proposed to analyze the spectral density of codons. The t…
  • Sexual Functioning and Opioid Maintenance Treatment in Women. Results From a Large Multicentre Study. [Journal Article]
    Front Behav Neurosci. 2019; 13:97.Zamboni L, Franceschini A, … GICS Group

  • One-year outcomes of infants born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia: a national population cohort study. [Journal Article]
Arch Dis Child Fetal Neonatal Ed. 2019 Nov; 104(6):F643-F647.Long AM, Bunch KJ, … BAPS-CASS
  • CONCLUSIONS: The majority of infant deaths in babies born with CDH occur before surgical correction. Female sex, being born small for gestational age, surfactant use, patch repair and receipt of cardiovascular support were associated with a higher risk of death. The optimum surgical approach, timing of operation and choice of patch material to achieve lowest morbidity warrants further evaluation.
  • A rare complication of acute myocardial infarction: Intra-myocardial dissecting hematoma. [Case Reports]

  • A rare and unusual form of myocardial rupture that can complicate acute myocardial infarction is intra-myocardial dissecting hematoma (IDH). Reports in the literature describing this entity are limited to case reports or series. The diagnosis prior to the advent of noninvasive imaging was at autopsy. We present a case of IDH occurring after acute anterior wall myocardial infarction that terminate…
  • Molecular mechanism of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy - An update. [Review]
    Eur J Pharmacol. 2018 Jan 05; 818:241-253.Renu K, V G A, … Arunachalam S
  • Doxorubicin is utilized for anti-neoplastic treatment for several decades. The utility of this drug is limited due to its side effects. Generally, doxorubicin toxicity is originated from the myocardium and then other organs are also ruined. The mechanism of doxorubicin is intercalated with the DNA and inhibits topoisomerase 2. There are various signalling mechanisms involved in doxorubicin cardio…
