Examination was significant for right facial nerve palsy, lower extremity pain, areflexia of his right lower extremity, and diminished reflexes of his…
  • Catalyst-Free Vertical ZnO-Nanotube Array Grown on p-GaN for UV-Light-Emitting Devices. [Journal Article]
ACS Appl Mater Interfaces 2019; 11(31):27989-27996Alwadai N, Ajia IA, … Roqan IS
  • One-dimensional (1D) structures-based UV-light-emitting diode (LED) has immense potential for next-generation applications. However, several issues related to such devices must be resolved first, such as expensive material and growth methods, complicated fabrication process, efficiency droop, and unavoidable metal contamination due to metal catalyst that reduces device efficiency. To overcome the…

  • High-Resolution Copy Number Patterns From Clinically Relevant FFPE Material. [Journal Article]
    Sci Rep 2019; 9(1):8908Filia A, Droop A, … Bishop DT
  • Systematic tumour profiling is essential for biomarker research and clinically for assessing response to therapy. Solving the challenge of delivering informative copy number (CN) profiles from formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) material, the only likely readily available biospecimen for most cancers, involves successful processing of small quantities of degraded DNA. To investigate the poten…
  • Otitis externa in eight horses - clinical signs, treatment and prognosis. [Case Reports]
    Vet Dermatol 2019Odelros E, Kendall A, … Bergvall K
  • CONCLUSIONS: Otitis externa in horses is a rare and treatable condition. The condition may be present for prolonged periods before owners become aware, compromising the welfare of affected horses. Untreated otitis externa is a suggested cause of otitis media and temporohyoid osteoarthropathy, emphasizing the importance of identifying and treating this condition at an early stage. For this reason, clinicians should include a brief inspection of the pinnae and external ear canal in the clinical examination of horses.
