  • Compressive peroneal neuropathy by an intraneural ganglion cyst combined with L5 radiculopathy: A case report. [Journal Article]
Medicine (Baltimore) 2019; 98(44):e17865Park SH, Do HK, Jo GY
  • CONCLUSIONS: Diagnosing the cause of foot drop can be difficult with multiple co-existing pathologies, and consideration of various possible etiologies is the key for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. In addition to imaging modalities such as MRI, electrodiagnostic examination can help to improve diagnostic accuracy. Intraneural ganglion cyst of the common peroneal nerve is rare, but should be considered as a possible cause of foot drop.
  • Spontaneous, Voluntary, and Reflex Blinking in Clinical Practice. [Journal Article]
    J Clin Neurophysiol 2019; 36(6):415-421Valls-Sole J
  • Blinking is one of the motor acts performed more frequently by healthy human subjects. It involves the reciprocal action of at least two muscles: the orbicularis oculi shows a brief phasic activation while the levator palpebrae shows transient inhibition. In clinical practice, noninvasive recording of the orbicularis oculi activity is sufficient to obtain useful information for electrodiagnostic …
  • [Clinical characteristics of PCDH19-female limited epilepsy]. [Journal Article]
Zhonghua Er Ke Za Zhi 2019; 57(11):857-862Chen Y, Yang XL, … Zhang YH
  • CONCLUSIONS: The clinical features of PCDH19-FE are characterized by clustering of seizures, focal seizures in most cases, sensitivity to fever mostly, focal discharges principally in EEG, varied degrees of intellectual disability or movement disorder, combined with autism spectrum disorders in partial and high efficiency in sodium valproate or levetiracetam treatment.
  • [A phenotypic and genetic study on β-propeller protein-associated neurodegeneration]. [Journal Article]
Zhonghua Er Ke Za Zhi 2019; 57(11):830-836Li WH, Chen Q, … Zhou SZ
  • Objective: To summarize the clinical and genetic features of β-propeller protein-associated neurodegeneration (BPAN). Methods: The clinical data of 17 patients with BPAN with WDR45 gene variants were retrospectively collected at Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Peking University First Hospital, Capital Institute of Pediatrics, Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University and Shanghai …
  • [The brain imaging studies of obstructive sleep apnea: evidence from resting-state EEG and fMRI]. [Review]
Sheng Li Xue Bao 2019; 71(5):760-768Wan XY, Zhao WR, … Lei X
  • Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common clinic sleep disorder, and characterized by obstruction of upper airway during sleep, resulting in sleep fragmentation and intermittent hypoxemia. We reviewed the brain imaging studies in OSA patients compared with healthy subjects, including studies of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG). The resting-state EEG st…
  • [Value of ventricular tachycardia score in diagnosing pre-excited tachycardia]. [Journal Article]
Zhong Nan Da Xue Xue Bao Yi Xue Ban 2019; 44(9):1041-1047Wang W, Li Y, … Guo J
  • To investigate the value of ventricular tachycardia (VT) score in diagnosing pre-excited tachycardia. Methods: Twelve-lead electrocardiograph results were obtained from 30 patients at pre-excited tachycardia attacking stage who were diagnosed by electrophysiology. We scored pre-excitation tachycardia based on the VT score. To analyze the electrocardiogram of pre-excited tachycardia using 7 diagno…
