  • Profiling of organosulfur compounds and amino acids in garlic from different regions of China. [Journal Article]
    Food Chem 2019; 305:125499Liu P, Weng R, … Qiu J
  • The quality of garlic is mainly attributed to organosulfur compounds that are the secondary metabolites of certain amino acids. Herein, a sensitive and rapid method for the simultaneous determination of 7 organosulfur compounds and 21 amino acids using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) was developed. Then the levels of these 28 compou…
  • Implications of serial coronary computed tomography angiography in the evaluation of coronary plaque progression. [Journal Article]
Curr Opin Lipidol 2019Dahal S, Budoff MJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: Coronary heart disease remains one of the leading cause of mortality in the world. Utilizing coronary CT angiography, it is possible to identify rupture-prone plaques and also to quantify the total plaque burden. New pharmacotherapies that have the potential to reduce plaque progression have been used in clinical trials and these trials have utilized coronary CT angiography to track coronary atheroma progression. In future, we will see frequent utilization of coronary CT angiography to track coronary atheroma.
