  • Effect of landiolol on sex-related transcriptomic changes in the myocardium during sepsis. [Journal Article]
    Intensive Care Med Exp 2019; 7(1):50Tran TT, Mathieu C, … Lalevée N
  • CONCLUSIONS: In males, landiolol reversed the expression of many genes that were deregulated in sepsis. Conversely, sepsis-induced deregulation of gene expression was less pronounced in females than in males, and was maintained in the landiolol-treated females. These findings highlight important sex-related differences and confirm previous observations on the important benefit of landiolol intake on cardiac function in male rats.
  • Toll-like receptor mediated inflammation requires FASN-dependent MYD88 palmitoylation. [Journal Article]
Nat Chem Biol 2019; 15(9):907-916Kim YC, Lee SE, … Kim HS
  • Toll-like receptor (TLR)/myeloid differentiation primary response protein (MYD88) signaling aggravates sepsis by impairing neutrophil migration to infection sites. However, the role of intracellular fatty acids in TLR/MYD88 signaling is unclear. Here, inhibition of fatty acid synthase by C75 improved neutrophil chemotaxis and increased the survival of mice with sepsis in cecal ligation puncture a…
  • Endoscopic Therapy for Acute Diverticular Bleeding. [Review]
    Clin Endosc 2019Kato M
  • Diverticular bleeding accounts for approximately 26%-40% of the cases of lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Rupture of the vasa recta at the neck or dome of the diverticula can be the cause of this bleeding. Colonoscopy aids in not only the diagnosis but also the treatment of diverticular bleeding after a steady bowel preparation. Endoscopic hemostasis involves several methods, such as injection/th…
