  • Clinicopathologic features of four rare types of chordomas, confirmed by brachyury immunostaining. [Case Reports]
    Indian J Pathol Microbiol 2017 Jul-Sep; 60(3):350-354Rekhi B, Banerjee D, … Jambhekar NA
  • CONCLUSIONS: These four unusual chordomas, confirmed by brachyury immunoexpression, constitute as one of the first such documentation from our country, revealing a wide clinicopathologic spectrum of chordomas. Dedifferentiated and poorly differentiated chordomas are associated with an aggressive clinical course. Further diagnostic implications are discussed herewith.
  • HOXA7, HOXA9, and HOXA10 are differentially expressed in clival and sacral chordomas. [Journal Article]
    Sci Rep 2017; 7(1):2032Jäger D, Barth TFE, … Mellert K
  • Chordomas are rare tumours of the bone arising along the spine from clivus to sacrum. We compared three chordoma cell lines of the clivus region including the newly established clivus chordoma cell line, U-CH14, with nine chordoma cell lines originating from sacral primaries by morphology, on genomic and expression levels and with patient samples from our chordoma tissue bank. Clinically, chordom…
  • On a Rare Cutaneous Metastasis from a Sacrococcygeal Chordoma. [Case Reports]
    Case Rep Pathol 2017; 2017:5281239D'Amuri A, Brunelli M, … Filotico M
  • Chordomas are rare malignant tumors of notochordal origin and are rare locally aggressive ones with a metastatic potential. The skin rarely is seen as metastatic site. We describe a case of an adult woman with cutaneous metastasis of a primary sacral chordoma excised ten years before, which appeared as a painless cutaneous mass located in the dorsal region. Once removed, the surgical specimen was…
  • [Cervical paraspinal chordoma, a condition we should know. A case report]. [Case Reports]
    Neurocirugia (Astur) 2017 Jul - Aug; 28(4):197-201Mesa-Quesada J, Roldán-Romero E, … Bravo-Rodríguez F
  • Chordoma is a rare, slow-growing tumour arising from remnants of the notochord. It is most often located in the base of the skull and the sacrococcygeal region, being located in the cervical region in only 6% of cases. A rare case is presented of a left para-spinal chordoma, of which less than 10 cases have been reported in literature. It was located at C2-C4 level in a young male with no persona…
  • Histochemical and immunohistochemical characterization of chordoma in ferrets. [Journal Article]
    J Vet Med Sci 2015; 77(4):467-73Yui T, Ohmachi T, … Taniyama H
  • Chordomas of the tip of the tail in 6 ferrets were examined using histopathological, histochemical and immunohistochemical procedures. Histopathologically, round neoplastic cells containing numerous cytoplasmic vacuoles of varying sizes, categorized as "physaliphorous cells", were observed in the amorphous eosinophilic or pale basophilic myxoid stroma. Physaliphorous cells were arranged in lobule…
