  • Catalytic plasticity of germacrene A oxidase underlies sesquiterpene lactone diversification. [Journal Article]
Plant Physiol 2019Nguyen TD, Kwon M, … Ro DK
  • Adaptive evolution of enzymes benefits from catalytic promiscuity. Sesquiterpene lactones (STLs) have diverged extensively in the Asteraceae, and studies of the enzymes for two representative STLs, costunolide and artemisinin, could provide an insight into the adaptive evolution of enzymes. Costunolide appeared early in Asteraceae evolution and is widespread, whereas artemisinin is a unique STL a…
  • [Efficiency of the differentiated use of physiobalneotherapy for borderline mental disorders in mothers of children with cerebral palsy]. [Journal Article]
Vopr Kurortol Fizioter Lech Fiz Kult 2019; 96(3):16-24Kradinova EA, Moshkova ED, Nazarova EV
  • CONCLUSIONS: Transcranial magnetic therapy used in combination with valerian-bromine baths based on sodium chloride water and with psychotherapy in mothers with borderline mental disorders, by taking into account psychological dysregulation, contributed to increases in the body's clinical and functional reserves within 6-8 months and to the preservation of psychological adaptation in 54.7% of cases. Incorporation of a maternal psychocorrective complex into the sanatorium-resort treatment of a child with cerebral palsy is a promising method for improving the quality of treatment outcomes in a sanatorium.
  • A FLIPR Assay for Discovery of GABAA Receptor Modulators of Natural Origin. [Journal Article]
    Planta Med 2019; 85(11-12):925-933Faleschini MT, Maier A, … Butterweck V
  • A fluorometric imaging plate reader (FLIPR) assay utilizing Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells stably transfected with GABAA receptors of α 1 β 2 γ 2 subunit composition was evaluated and validated for rapid screening of plant extract libraries and efficient localization of active compounds in extracts. Validation was performed with pure compounds and extracts known to contain allosteric GABAA rec…
