- The relationship between food intake and outdoor temperature in a longitudinal study: a public health perspective in the context of global warming. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 10; :101430. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: These results emphasize the importance of targeted prevention messages when temperatures exceed 25°C, especially concerning alcoholic and sugar-sweetened beverages, and offer insight into potential long-term food consumption patterns (beyond seasonal changes) in the context of global warming.

- Maternal intake of vitamins A, C, D, and E during pregnancy and the risk of type 1 diabetes in the child: the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 10; :101431. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This prospective cohort study did not support the hypothesis that higher maternal intake of vitamins A, C, D, and E during pregnancy would decrease the risk of type 1 diabetes in the child. Corroborated with previous evidence, our findings support a general pattern of null associations.

- Dietary guidelines adherence and pregnancy exposure to 10 classes of priority chemicals: an observational study in the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes Cohort. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 08; :101393. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Greater DGA adherence may minimize exposure to some, but not all, toxicants.

- Integrating Executive Function Training with Health Behavior Intervention for Preschool Obesity Prevention in China: A Cluster-Randomized Controlled Trial. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 07; :101427. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This kindergarten-family intervention showed directionally favorable but statistically uncertain effects on BMIz gain after small-sample correction, alongside modest improvements in selected EF outcomes. These findings support the feasibility and potential promise of this approach for early obesity prevention, while larger trials are needed to confirm effectiveness, durability, and equity across settings.

- Nourishing Collaboration: Interdisciplinary Nutrition Education for Health Care Professionals. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 04; :101428. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- Nutrition education remains insufficient in many health professional training programs despite the central role of diet in the prevention and management of chronic disease. Contemporary nutrition science increasingly recognizes that dietary behaviors and health outcomes are shaped by complex interactions among biological, behavioral, environmental, and food system factors. This perspective propos…

- Associations of red blood cell fatty acids with personality traits: 10-year follow-up in the Kibbutzim Family Study. [Journal Article]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul 02; :101426. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Higher RBC Total n-6 fatty acid levels were associated with lower Type-A personality scores. After adjustment for baseline personality levels, the associations between Total n-6 and hostility and between Total n-3 and hostility were attenuated. These findings support further investigation of the relationship between fatty acid biology and personality traits using study designs better suited to causal inference.

- High postprandial endotoxemia is associated with recurrence of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease: from the CORDIOPREV randomized clinical trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]Am J Clin Nutr. 2026 Jul; 124(1):101323.AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest that the magnitude of postprandial endotoxemia is associated with suffering new MACE in patients with CHD, with the MED diet exercising a higher preventive role than an LF diet. Our results especially are relevant to clinical practice, supporting the measurement of postprandial endotoxemia as a tool for personalized medicine in secondary prevention. This study was registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT00924937.
