- How to give and receive feedback: closing the feedback gap. [Journal Article]Arch Dis Child Educ Pract Ed. 2026 Jul 29. [Online ahead of print]AD
- Feedback seeks to identify the gap between where the learner is and where they want to be. However, the feedback process must then result in closure of this gap if it is to be of benefit. - Use of subcutaneous epinephrine in addition to standard first-line treatment with short-acting β2-agonist and systemic steroids in children and adolescents with an acute severe asthma exacerbation: a systematic review of randomised controlled trials. [Journal Article]Arch Dis Child. 2026 Jul 28. [Online ahead of print]AD
- CONCLUSIONS: This review demonstrated very low certainty of evidence based on a single paper indicating that subcutaneous epinephrine does not benefit children with acute asthma in terms of asthma clinical score, hospitalisation rate and the need for additional intravenous medications. No significant improvement in PEF percentage was observed after the intervention.

- Early high-flow nasal oxygen therapy in paediatric acute hypoxaemic respiratory failure: a cost analysis following a randomised controlled trial. [Journal Article]Arch Dis Child. 2026 Jul 27. [Online ahead of print]AD
- CONCLUSIONS: NHF costs more than SOT and does not lead to better clinical outcomes. Although NHF remains an important respiratory support modality for paediatric AHRF, its higher costs, particularly among those not responding to NHF, emphasise the need for more targeted use.

- Risk and protective factors for birth-related clavicle fracture and brachial plexus birth injury: a national cohort study. [Journal Article]Arch Dis Child Fetal Neonatal Ed. 2026 Jul 22. [Online ahead of print]AD
- CONCLUSIONS: Reported birth-related clavicle fractures and BPBI are rare and decreasing in Sweden. The conditions share several maternal and obstetric risk factors, many of which are modifiable. Continued monitoring is important as obstetric guidelines, practices and population characteristics evolve.
