- School attendance in individuals with cerebral palsy in Brazil. [Journal Article]Dev Med Child Neurol. 2026 May 21. [Online ahead of print]DM
- CONCLUSIONS: Although school attendance rates for Brazilian individuals with CP are relatively high compared to other low- and middle-income countries, major barriers persist. Addressing speech support, and mobility-related inclusion, is essential to improve both school attendance and meaningful involvement.

- Longitudinal speech and gross motor function development in children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. [Journal Article]Dev Med Child Neurol. 2026 May 15. [Online ahead of print]DM
- CONCLUSIONS: Changes in VSS levels may reflect protracted speech development in children with CP. Results indicate that while speech and gross motor abilities are strongly related across development, their patterns of change differ descriptively over time. These findings support the idea that children with CP may benefit from ongoing speech intervention throughout childhood and adolescence, regardless of gross motor function.

- MRI, Child Opportunity Index, and 4-year cognitive outcome after neonatal encephalopathy. [Journal Article]Dev Med Child Neurol. 2026 May 15. [Online ahead of print]DM
- CONCLUSIONS: Neighborhood-level social drivers of health are associated with cognition after neonatal encephalopathy, regardless of MRI findings. These data highlight modifiable opportunities after hospital discharge.

- CONCLUSIONS: These preliminary data suggest the SMAFCS could be a valuable tool to stratify gross motor function and predict risk of clinical outcomes in SMA. Further work is required to study reliability and responsiveness to change.
