- CONCLUSIONS: This study provides in vivo evidence that cardiac fibroblasts constitute a major source of NLRP3 inflammasome activation in response to pressure overload. Fibroblast S1PR2 signaling links mitochondrial dysfunction to inflammasome activation, revealing a novel proinflammatory axis that exacerbates pressure overload-induced heart failure.

- CONCLUSIONS: Continuous recordings demonstrated that neither renal SNA nor lumbar SNA mediated the initiation or development of DOCA-salt hypertension. In the absence of evidence for increased cardiac output, the biphasic rise in AP is attributed to increased peripheral vascular resistance of a nonsympathetic origin, likely driven by DOCA-sodium interactions in the perivascular region.

- CONCLUSIONS: We identify WLR as a sensitive marker for imaging microvascular remodeling, serving as an indicator of adaptation to physiological pregnancy. Normal pregnancy is associated with an instant change of the retinal microvasculature indicated by an increase of WLR. Further studies are required to investigate the postpartum course of WLR and establish whether these changes are reversible.
