CONCLUSIONS: After adjustment for disease severity and surgeon-related factors, robot-assisted cholecystectomy was associated with lower odds of bile duct injury in acute cholecystitis and improved perioperative outcomes, including shorter hospitalization and lower conversion rates, despite greater use in more complex cases.

CONCLUSIONS: Plain radiography is substantially underutilized in children meeting consensus criteria for XR-first imaging. In appropriately selected patients, XR demonstrated an NPV of 99.9% for clinically significant cervical spine injury, supporting broader implementation of XR-first imaging strategies to reduce CT utilization and pediatric radiation exposure.

CONCLUSIONS: National variation in NOM duration for SBO is substantial. Among patients ultimately requiring operative intervention, prolonged NOM was associated with increased healthcare utilization without measurable improvement in short-term postoperative outcomes, supporting efforts to optimize and standardize time-limited nonoperative management.

CONCLUSIONS: TO is achieved in approximately nine of ten adolescents undergoing metabolic and bariatric surgery and is more common after VSG than RYGB. Prolonged length of stay is the principal contributor to TO failure, while procedure type, operative approach, patient age, operative year, and race/ethnicity are associated with TO achievement.
