- Multimethod Analysis of Potential Disease Intervention Career Pathways at US Undergraduate Institutions. [Journal Article]Public Health Rep. 2026 Jul 06; :333549261459006. [Online ahead of print]PH
- CONCLUSIONS: Listening session findings suggest some readiness to integrate DIS pathways within some undergraduate educational settings and the need for future implementation support. The educational background of the current DIS workforce suggests that undergraduate pathways into this career may be appropriate and that certification(s) in disease intervention-specific skills are somewhat common but currently lack a DIS-specific pathway. US undergraduate institutions may be equipped to integrate such pathways into their programs but will require support to increase awareness of the DIS field and feasibility of implementation.

- Community-Based Helicobacter pylori Screening to Identify Gastric Cancer Risk Among Korean-Born Adults in the United States. [Journal Article]Public Health Rep. 2026 Jul 06; :333549261460001. [Online ahead of print]PH
- CONCLUSIONS: Community-based outreach events identified a high prevalence of lifetime H pylori exposure among Korean-born adults, indicating persistent gastric cancer risk acquired before migration. However, high preventive endoscopy use indicates strong community engagement with prevention. Public health efforts can identify individuals at risk of gastric cancer and link them to eradication and surveillance to reduce gastric cancer disparities.

- CONCLUSIONS: Foods associated with sporadic listeriosis differed from foods associated with outbreak-associated illness, with differences observed across population groups and by pregnancy status. These findings highlight variation in exposure patterns and underscore the need for further attribution studies focused on sporadic illness across demographic groups, to inform population-specific prevention messaging.
