- Bushen Huoxue recipe restores trophoblast proliferation through the PI3K/AKT pathway in recurrent spontaneous abortion. [Journal Article]Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1719434.FM
- CONCLUSIONS: The PI3K/AKT pathway is a potential pathway for RSA intervention. The therapeutic effect of BSHXR is related to the proliferative effect mediated by the PI3K/AKT pathway.

- The Emerging Role of Interferon-Stimulated Gene 15 (ISG15) in Pregnancy-Related Disorders. [Review]
- Pregnancy-related disorders, including preterm birth, preeclampsia, recurrent spontaneous abortion, and fetal growth restriction, represent major contributors to global maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. Their pathophysiology involves complex mechanisms such as immune dysregulation, inflammatory responses, oxidative stress, and metabolic disturbances. Interferon-stimulated gene 15 (ISG1…

- Retrospective Analysis of 1168 Cases of Ovular Decidual Tissue from First-Trimester Abortions: Proposal for a Histopathological Diagnostic Framework. [Journal Article]Diagnostics (Basel). 2026 Apr 09; 16(8).D
- Background: Early pregnancy loss, defined as the spontaneous loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks of gestation or when the fetus weighs less than 500 g, remains a common obstetric complication, affecting up to 15% of clinically recognized pregnancies. Chromosomal abnormalities, particularly aneuploidies such as trisomies and monosomy X, account for 50-60% of first-trimester losses, with incidence …

- Does suture number matter in transvaginal cervical cerclage? A propensity score-weighted cohort study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: After accounting for baseline cervical severity and clinical indication, single- and double-suture transvaginal cerclage was associated with comparable obstetric and neonatal outcomes under standardized surgical conditions. These findings suggest that cervical status at the time of cerclage placement, rather than the number of sutures applied, is the primary determinant of outcome.

- Feasibility and Safety of Ablation using a Dual-Energy, Lattice-Tip, Map-and-Ablate Catheter in Patients with Mechanical Heart Valves. [Journal Article]Heart Rhythm. 2026 Apr 29. [Online ahead of print]HR
- CONCLUSIONS: Atrial ablation using a lattice-tip catheter appears feasible in patients with mechanical heart valves. No catheter entrapment or major complications were observed. However, given the small sample size, these findings should be interpreted as preliminary, and larger studies are needed to better assess safety and clinical outcomes.

- Regulatory T cells in human pregnancy: mechanisms, dysregulation, and therapeutic perspectives. [Review]Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1815957.FI
- Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a central role in maintaining immune tolerance and supporting maternal-fetal homeostasis throughout human pregnancy. Clinical and experimental evidence demonstrates that dysregulation of peripheral and decidual Tregs manifested as quantitative deficits, impaired suppressive function or lineage instability increased the risk of various pathological pregnancies, such…

- Effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma in recurrent implantation failure: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1730259.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest a possible beneficial role for PRP on pregnancy outcomes to some extent in women with RIF, particularly in cases with ≥3 prior failed transfers, and blastocyst transfer may increase LBR and reduce miscarriage risk. However, further investigation is warranted to determine whether this treatment may pose an increased risk of preterm birth.

- Effect of Recombinant Human Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor on Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients With Recurrent Pregnancy Loss: A Single-Center Retrospective Study. [Journal Article]Am J Reprod Immunol. 2026 May; 95(5):e70248.AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Although rhG-CSF showed no significant overall benefit for pregnancy outcomes in RPL patients, exploratory subgroup analyses revealed divergent effects based on administration types. While a potential negative association was observed with short-acting rhG-CSF and a positive impact with sequential therapy, these subgroup-specific findings should be interpreted with caution and require validation in larger, dedicated prospective cohorts.

- Spontaneous Heterotopic Pregnancy and Its Clinical Implications. [Case Reports]Int J Womens Health. 2026; 18:601063.IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This case is a reminder that confirmation of an intrauterine pregnancy does not exclude the coexistence of an ectopic pregnancy. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion in patients with ectopic pregnancy risk factors, such as a history of multiple abortions, pelvic inflammatory disease, and/or endometriosis, or in patients who develop persistent or recurrent abdominal pain following an abortion. Early diagnosis and treatment of a heterotopic pregnancy can avert potentially life-threatening complications.

- Transfer RNA-derived small RNAs in female reproductive disorders: emerging roles and clinical implications. [Review]
- Female reproductive disorders present significant challenges worldwide. Transfer RNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs), a structurally diverse class of non-coding RNAs mainly comprising tRNA halves (tiRNAs) and tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs), have emerged as key regulators in human health and disease. This review outlines the biogenesis and functions of tsRNAs and summarizes their mechanistic involvemen…

- Offspring long-term infectious morbidity following pregnancies with cervical cerclage. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In this large population-based cohort, cervical cerclage was not associated with increased long-term infectious morbidity in offspring. A modest association with reduced infectious morbidity was observed after adjustment for confounding factors. These findings should be interpreted cautiously given the observational design and potential residual confounding.

- The role and underlying mechanism of FABP4 dysregulation mediated by m6A modification in unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study identifies FABP4 deficiency as a critical event in URSA pathogenesis, driven by an m6A-mediated epigenetic mechanism involving FTO and IGF2BP3. FABP4 downregulation disrupts trophoblast lipid metabolism and mitochondrial function. These findings offer novel insights into URSA and suggest FABP4 as a potential therapeutic target for clinical intervention.

- Pregnancy outcomes after ultrasound- and physical examination-indicated cervical cerclage: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Emergency cervical cerclage was associated with substantial pregnancy prolongation. No statistically significant differences were observed between indications, and pre-cerclage cervical length was the only independent predictor of early preterm birth. These findings support, but do not confirm, a potential pathophysiologic continuum of cervical insufficiency.
