- Combined discriminative value of SII and sdLDL-C for 1-year major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with unstable angina pectoris. [Journal Article]Front Cardiovasc Med. 2026; 13:1840437.FC
- CONCLUSIONS: Elevated SII and sdLDL-C levels were independently associated with MACE within 1 year in patients with UAP. Their combination showed better discrimination than either marker alone. However, because of the limited number of patients with MACE and the absence of external validation, these findings should be considered exploratory and require confirmation in larger prospective multicenter cohorts.

- Major cardiovascular events in Japanese patients with acute and chronic coronary syndrome. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: Recurrent CV risk was highest after a first ACS event and was heterogenous in CCS, with substantially higher risk in comorbidity-burdened subgroups. These findings provide contemporary real-world estimates of recurrent CV risk and support further refinement and validation of risk-stratification approaches for secondary prevention.

[Journal Article]Quant Imaging Med Surg. 2026 Aug 01; 16(8):638.QI
- CONCLUSIONS: The OCAD diagnostic model for suspected UA patients, based on resting [18]F-FDG PET and clinical indicators, demonstrated excellent diagnostic performance.

- Efficacy and safety of intracoronary injection of recombinant human prourokinase in patients with slow blood flow/no-reflow during PCI for acute coronary syndrome: a randomised controlled, double-blind, placebo controlled, national multicentre clinical study protocol (PUK-ACS study). [Journal Article]
- The coronary slow-flow/no-reflow phenomenon adversely affects clinical outcomes following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), demonstrating a substantial association with increased cardiovascular mortality and heart failure incidence. Despite its significant clinical implications, current therapeutic strategies for this condition lack robust gu…

- Risk prediction for long-term cardiovascular events in patients with concurrent hypertension, HFpEF, and unstable angina: a multicenter machine learning-assisted cohort study. [Multicenter Study]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1851201.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: A machine learning-assisted, Cox-based nomogram incorporating five routinely available clinical and laboratory variables provided acceptable discrimination in the development cohort and modest-to-acceptable performance in geographically distinct validation and test cohorts. This model may support individualized long-term risk stratification in patients with concurrent hypertension, HFpEF, and UAP, although prospective validation and clinical impact studies are warranted before routine implementation.

- This study aimed to construct an evidence chain for the efficacy of Shuxuening Injection(SXN) in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris(UAP) and clarify its efficacy and underlying mechanisms. Eight major Chinese and English databases, including CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMbase, and Web of Science, were systematically searched to collect clinical studies, animal ex…

- Coronary artery disease -related outcomes associated with semaglutide and tirzepatide in type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: In semaglutide trials, treatment was associated with lower pooled risks across several CAD-related outcomes, particularly acute coronary phenotypes in adults with T2DM and/or obesity. Evidence for tirzepatide remained less precise because of fewer CAD-related events and limited CAD-specific outcome data. Further dedicated cardiovascular outcome trials, longer follow-up studies, and more standardized reporting of CAD-related outcomes are needed.

- Multiple machine learning models for predicting major adverse cardiovascular events in dialysis with clinical and echocardiographic parameters: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]Ann Med. 2026 Dec; 58(1):2698905.AM
- CONCLUSIONS: Elevated NT-proBNP, advanced age, reduced eGFR and impaired GLS were independently associated with an increased risk of MACE in patients undergoing dialysis.

- Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and cardiovascular risk in patients with unstable angina: A 3-year prospective follow-up study. [Journal Article]Adv Clin Exp Med. 2026 Jul; 35(7):1143-1151.AC
- CONCLUSIONS: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is associated with metabolic dysfunction and an increased risk of cardiovascular events in patients with UA. Although it is not an independent predictor of MACE, its presence may indicate a higher long-term cardiovascular risk and should be considered in clinical risk stratification.

- Utilization of evidence-based secondary preventive therapies post-acute coronary syndrome: a heart registry cohort study in Kenya. [Multicenter Study]Pan Afr Med J. 2026; 53:70.PA
- CONCLUSIONS: despite better in-hospital and discharge prescribing patterns, suboptimal pre-hospital medication use and underutilization of certain agents like ticagrelor at discharge highlight gaps in care. Tailored interventions such as provider training, patient education, and strengthened transition-of-care protocols are needed to improve long-term adherence to guideline-directed medical therapy after ACS in Kenya, particularly among high-risk groups.

- Jianpi Qutan Formula attenuates vulnerable plaques by regulating IGFBP3. [Journal Article]J Ethnopharmacol. 2026 Dec 06; 371:122035.JE
- CONCLUSIONS: The imbalance of the IGF-1/IGFBP3 axis and abnormal activation of EndMT are important pathological mechanisms in UAP with SD-PTS. JPQT can effectively stabilize atherosclerotic vulnerable plaques by regulating the balance of the IGF-1/IGFBP3 axis and inhibiting EndMT, providing a scientific basis for its clinical application.

- Stable angina, also is known as typical angina or angina pectoris, is a symptom of myocardial ischemia. Stable angina is characterized by chest discomfort or anginal equivalent that is provoked with exertion and alleviated at rest or with nitroglycerin. This is often one of the first manifestations or warning signs of underlying coronary disease. Angina affects 10 million people in the United Sta…
