- CONCLUSIONS: This case series documented acute arsenic toxicity secondary to realgar consumption in both adults and children. The findings underscore the critical need for targeted public health education initiatives and enhanced regulatory oversight regarding traditional medicinal practices, particularly during cultural festivals. Furthermore, they emphasize the necessity for heightened clinical vigilance in the prompt diagnosis and management of arsenic poisoning associated with traditional cultural practices.

- CONCLUSIONS: Arsenic-induced peripheral neuropathy can clinically mimic Guillain-Barré syndrome. For immunotherapy-refractory cases, clinicians should maintain high suspicion for potential heavy metal poisoning. Careful elicitation of toxic exposure history and recognition of characteristic dermatologic findings are critical for definitive diagnosis, as early recognition significantly improves prognosis.

- Cerebral Edema Secondary to Heavy Metal Toxicity From Siddha Medicine: A Case Report and Case-Based Review. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: We presented an unusual case of generalized cerebral edema caused by multiple metal toxicity from Siddha medicine use. Our case illustrates that Siddha medicine can cause a mixed toxidrome with toxicities from multiple metals at once. Our patient's highly unusual presenting syndrome, including diffuse cerebral edema on brain imaging and triphasic waves on electroencephalogram, will hopefully be informative for physicians faced with similar cases in future.
