- Professional and collective identity exploration and coping among mental health practitioners during shared trauma. [Journal Article]BMC Psychol. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]BP
- CONCLUSIONS: Professional and collective identities appear to function as interconnected processes that support adaptive coping and clinical functioning following exposure to mass trauma.

- Manifestations of tuberculosis possibly associated with rituximab in a patient with diagnosed multiple sclerosis: a case report. [Journal Article]J Med Case Rep. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]JM
- CONCLUSIONS: This case demonstrates an atypical multisystem presentation of tuberculosis in an immunocompromised patient receiving long-term anti-CD20 therapy. Susceptibility was likely multifactorial, including immunosuppression, occupational exposure, MS-related immune dysregulation, and prior corticosteroid use. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for atypical tuberculosis in immunocompromised patients receiving biologic therapies.

- Application of commercial ultrafiltration membranes for protein purification by high performance countercurrent membrane purification (HPCMP). [Journal Article]Biotechnol Prog. 2026 Jul 07; :e88537. [Online ahead of print]BP
- High performance countercurrent membrane purification (HPCMP) has emerged as a promising diffusive separation strategy for the purification of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). However, prior studies employed dialysis membranes, which are designed for diffusive separations but have not been validated for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. This study evaluates the ability of com…

- Prevalence and cardiovascular phenotypes of dextrocardia and situs inversus among 277,396 adults: longitudinal evidence of amplified age-related blood pressure progression. [Journal Article]Orphanet J Rare Dis. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]OJ
- CONCLUSIONS: In this large nonclinical cohort, dextrocardia and situs inversus were associated with higher blood pressure and a steeper age-related increase in SBP. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings.

- Construction and validation of a machine learning model for predicting early pregnancy in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]J Ovarian Res. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]JO
- CONCLUSIONS: ML-based predictive models for early pregnancy in PCOS patients were successfully established. All models demonstrated moderate discriminative ability, with the RF model showing relatively superior performance. These models may serve as adjunctive tools for clinical decision-making, while the moderate predictive power underscores the multifactorial complexity of early pregnancy in PCOS.

- Triglyceride glucose-weight adjusted waist index as a promising predictive marker for incident diabetes: a large-scale retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]BMC Endocr Disord. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]BE
- CONCLUSIONS: Higher TyG‑WWI is independently associated with an increased risk of incident DM and demonstrates better and more stable predictive performance than TyG, WWI, or BMI over long-term follow-up. This simple, low‑cost index may serve as a practical long‑term risk stratification tool for identifying high‑risk individuals in primary care.

- A prospective observational study comparing conventional lateral border transfascial mesh fixation versus midline transfascial suturing in laparoscopic intraperitoneal onlay mesh repair for umbilical hernia- a pilot study. [Journal Article]BMC Surg. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]BS
- CONCLUSIONS: Midline transfascial suturing in laparoscopic IPOM repair for umbilical hernia significantly reduces postoperative pain, shortens hospital stay, and improves patient satisfaction compared to conventional lateral border fixation, with comparable operative time and recurrence rates. This technique represents a patient-friendly alternative that should be considered for small-to-medium umbilical hernias.

- Ketogenic diets and cardiovascular health balancing metabolic benefits against lipid-related risk. [Systematic Review]BMC Cardiovasc Disord. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]BC
- CONCLUSIONS: KD was associated with improvements in adiposity, glycemic control, and blood pressure, but also with higher LDL-C and total cholesterol. Evidence for clinical cardiovascular endpoints remains limited, mixed, and mostly low certainty, supporting individualized risk-benefit assessment rather than universal adoption of KD.

- Association between increased microbiota awareness and lower gastrointestinal symptom severity: a cross-sectional analysis. [Journal Article]BMC Gastroenterol. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]BG
- CONCLUSIONS: Microbiota awareness level remained an independent correlate of GSRS after controlling for age, body mass index, and gender. These findings suggest that higher microbiota awareness is associated with lower gastrointestinal symptom severity.

- An Environmental-Friendly Amphiphilic Molecule for Simultaneously Improving CO2 Geological Storage and Utilization. [Journal Article]Environ Sci Technol. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]ES
- CO2 injection into subsurface reservoirs is an effective method for CO2 storage and higher geological resources recovery in low-permeability reservoirs. However, substantial CO2 coproduction during conventional CO2 flooding limits storage efficiency. In this study, a natural amphiphilic molecule (ARGS) is introduced to enhance oil recovery and CO2 storage by regulating CO2-oil-water-rock interfac…

- Associations between SARC-F score and FRAX score in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: A cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]Clin Rheumatol. 2026 Jul 07. [Online ahead of print]CR
- CONCLUSIONS: Sarcopenia risk, as measured by SARC-F, is significantly associated with increased FRAX-estimated fracture risk in RA patients. Incorporating SARC-F into routine assessments may improve early identification of patients at high fracture risk. Key Points • Sarcopenia is common in rheumatoid arthritis and is frequently under-detected. • Higher sarcopenia risk is associated with poorer bone health and increased fracture probability. • Simple screening tools, such as SARC-F, may help identify RA patients at elevated fracture risk earlier in clinical practice.
