- Correlation of PGP9.5 and TGF-β1 Levels in Menstrual Blood with Dysmenorrhea Severity in Adenomyosis Patients: A Cross-Sectional Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: PGP9.5 and TGF-β1 levels in menstrual blood are significantly elevated in adenomyosis patients and positively correlate with dysmenorrhea severity. These findings provide proof of concept that menstrual blood PGP9.5 and TGF-β1 may serve as non-invasive biomarkers for adenomyosis.

- Characterizing menstrual health and education needs among menstruating adolescents: A cross-sectional study on dysmenorrhea, cycle irregularities, and menstrual education. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed high prevalence of menstrual irregularities and pain among menstruating adolescents, emphasizing the need for improved menstrual health education and implementation of early intervention strategies. Significant disparities in education, trusted figures, comfort and ER utilization across demographics demonstrate the importance of tailoring menstrual health initiatives to address the unique needs of this population.

- Exploring predictors of analgesic response in adult women regularly using NSAIDs: insights from a machine learning approach. [Journal Article]
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are considered a first-line treatment for dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain). However, as much as 20% of women fail to achieve sufficient pain relief from NSAIDs, although factors associated with NSAID non-response are not well-known. The purpose of this study was to investigate factors associated with analgesic response to NSAIDs for dysmenorrhea.

- Massive Uterine Leiomyomatosis Requiring Hysterectomy in a 25-Year-Old Woman: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 Jul; 18(7):e112489.C
- Uterine leiomyomas are the most common benign tumors in women of reproductive age. Although hysterectomy is the definitive treatment for symptomatic fibroids, uterine-preserving procedures are preferred in young women, particularly when fertility is desired. Hysterectomy in women in their 20s due to extensive leiomyomatosis is uncommon. We report the case of a 25-year-old multiparous woman who pr…

- Associations of meal timing and sleep timing with premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea in Japanese women: a cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]Front Nutr. 2026; 13:1875559.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Meal and sleep timings were differentially associated with PMS symptoms and dysmenorrhea across workdays and free days. Workday behaviors were primarily associated with eating-related PMS symptoms, whereas free-day behaviors were primarily associated with dysmenorrhea severity. These findings suggest that menstrual symptoms may be differentially associated with behaviors shaped by socially imposed schedules and circadian preferences. Future longitudinal and interventional studies are needed to clarify causal relationships between meal timing, sleep timing, and menstrual health.

- Estetrol/drospirenone for combined oral contraception: a systematic review of efficacy, cycle control, and safety. [Systematic Review]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1867343.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: E4/DRSP is an effective combined oral contraceptive with favorable cycle control and a consistent biologic profile suggesting lower hepatic/hemostatic impact than ethinyl estradiol-containing formulations. However, current evidence does not establish comparative thromboembolic safety, which requires dedicated postauthorization and real-world comparative studies.
