- Effectiveness of physical therapy techniques and methods in the management of endometriosis symptoms: A systematic review with meta-analysis. [Review]Braz J Phys Ther. 2026 Jun 17; 30(4):101620. [Online ahead of print]BJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Massage therapy combined with perineal stretching, electrotherapy, acupuncture, exercise, and patient education are effective in improving chronic pelvic pain, dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, non-menstrual pain, the basic and modular domains of quality of life, mental and physical health, and functional well-being in endometriosis. Healthcare professionals must recognize the importance of evaluating each case individually and tailoring treatments to the specific needs of each patient.

- Gynecologic Manifestations of Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome. [Review]Int J Urol. 2026 May; 33 Suppl 1:e70447.IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Gynecologic associated disorders with IC/BPS are relevant and need to be identified as pain generators for the diagnosis and management of pain related to IC/BPS. The treatment of all pain generators is key.

- Vaginal dermoid cyst: A case report. [Case Reports]J Pediatr Adolesc Gynecol. 2026 Jun 15. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Although rare, vaginal dermoid cysts should be included in the differential diagnosis of atypical cystic pelvic masses. Accurate preoperative localization with physical exam and advanced imaging is essential to guide appropriate management and avoid unnecessary surgery.

- Office vaginoscopic resection of a large prolapsed longitudinal vaginal septum diagnosed in adulthood after previous vaginal delivery: A case report. [Case Reports]Case Rep Womens Health. 2026 Jun; 50:e00801.CR
- Longitudinal vaginal septum is an uncommon Müllerian developmental anomaly caused by incomplete fusion or resorption of the Müllerian ducts. It is frequently associated with uterine malformations, whereas isolated forms are rare. Clinical presentation ranges from asymptomatic findings to dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea, infertility, or obstetric complications. Diagnosis is usually made during adolescen…

- SmartWand: Validating a Novel Device for Remote Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. [Journal Article]Res Sq. 2026 Jun 05.RS
- High-tone pelvic floor dysfunction (HTPFD) affects a substantial proportion of women with chronic pelvic pain and is characterized by hypertonic musculature, myofascial tenderness, dyspareunia, and urinary and defecatory symptoms. Although pelvic floor physical therapy (PFPT) is the first-line treatment, access is severely limited: only 2.47% of U.S. zip codes have even one trained pelvic floor p…

- Interpretable machine learning for endometriosis classification: a rule-based approach. [Journal Article]BMC Med Inform Decis Mak. 2026 Jun 10. [Online ahead of print]BM
- CONCLUSIONS: The CN2 rule induction model has been effective in bridging the gaps in endometriosis research by providing interpretable and actionable diagnostic rules. Its integration into clinical practice may improve the precision of diagnosis, reduce diagnostic delays, and offer strategies for treatment, hence possibly improving patient outcomes.

- Sexual Experiences of Women with Pelvic Organ Prolapse: A Qualitative Study. [Journal Article]Int Urogynecol J. 2026 Jun 10. [Online ahead of print]IU
- CONCLUSIONS: Advanced POP affects women's sexuality beyond physical symptoms, with significant psychological and relational consequences. Sexual health concerns are often under-recognized in clinical practice. Integrating structured sexual assessment and holistic, patient-centered counseling into POP management may improve sexual and overall quality-of-life outcomes.

- Genitourinary syndrome of menopause in surgical versus natural menopause: standardized clinical scoring. [Journal Article]Menopause. 2026 Jun 09. [Online ahead of print]M
- CONCLUSIONS: Surgical menopause is associated with a more severe GSM phenotype. The total GSM score may serve as a practical tool to assess symptom severity and support timely clinical management. Routine assessment of GSM, particularly in surgically menopausal women, should be integrated into gynecological care to improve quality of life.

- The use of conjugated estrogens and bazedoxifene for the management of vasomotor symptoms in premenopausal and menopausal patients with endometriosis: a systematic review. [Review]Climacteric. 2026 Jun 08; :1-7. [Online ahead of print]C
- CONCLUSIONS: Because bazedoxifene antagonizes estrogen receptors and endometriosis is estrogen-dependent, CE/BZA may alter systemic inflammation or endothelial function. Although preclinical models show reduced lesion size, human evidence remains extremely limited and biased, insufficient to assess lesion recurrence or vascular safety. CE/BZA is currently indicated only for postmenopausal vasomotor symptoms; preliminary anecdotal evidence suggests symptom improvement, but large-scale comparative trials are urgently needed to establish safety and efficacy in endometriosis.

- Focal and Diffuse Adenomyomectomy: A Systematic Review of Comparative Outcomes from Published Studies Including 3397 Patients. [Review]J Minim Invasive Gynecol. 2026 Jun 01. [Online ahead of print]JM
- CONCLUSIONS: Focal and diffuse adenomyomectomy represent two distinct surgical approaches reflecting different patterns of adenomyotic involvement and operative complexity. Focal adenomyomectomy is more often amenable to minimally invasive techniques and targeted excision of localized lesions. In contrast, diffuse adenomyomectomy is generally associated with more extensive surgery and complex uterine reconstruction and may be associated with greater symptom improvement and favorable reproductive outcomes, based on reported outcomes across studies. Despite differences in surgical complexity, obstetric outcomes following conception appear largely comparable between groups.

- Episiotomy was traditionally performed routinely during vaginal delivery to prevent severe obstetric anal sphincter injuries and to shorten the second stage of labor, with the aim of improving neonatal outcomes. However, accumulating evidence has challenged these benefits. Its adverse consequences, including hemorrhagic, urinary, and infectious complications, as well as dyspareunia and psychologi…
