  • Hypothalamus as a conductor of the migraine prodrome: A narrative review. [Review]
Headache. 2026 Jul 01. [Online ahead of print]Root S, Schwedt TJH
  • CONCLUSIONS: There is compelling evidence that the hypothalamus plays a role in the migraine prodrome and likely in migraine attack initiation. This is supported by many migraine prodrome symptoms localizing to hypothalamic function and functional neuroimaging studies demonstrating increased activity and altered connectivity of the hypothalamus during the prodrome phase. Further evidence and research are required to understand the hypothalamus' contribution relative to other brain regions.
  • Psychodynamic Interventions for Fibromyalgia: A Systematic Review. [Journal Article]
    Clin Neuropsychiatry. 2026 Jun; 23(3):255-265.Alessandro T, Martina M, … Federica GCN
  • CONCLUSIONS: the current evidence does not allow definitive recommendations regarding psychodynamic interventions for FM. Further methodologically rigorous research is needed to clarify the specific efficacy, generalizability, and underlying mechanisms of these interventions.
  • Papulonecrotic tuberculid mimicking lues maligna in an immunocompromised male. [Case Reports]
    Indian J Sex Transm Dis AIDS. 2026; 47(1):45-47.Verma S, Verma V, … Gupta SIJ
  • Papulonecrotic tuberculid (PNT) is a rare hypersensitivity reaction to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, typically seen in immunocompetent individuals but occasionally reported in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive patients. We describe the case of a 30-year-old HIV-positive male with high-risk sexual behavior presenting with crusted papulopustular lesions and severe headache. Cerebrospinal fl…
  • When Fatigue Was Vasculitis: A Case of Limited PR3 ANCA-Positive Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis. [Case Reports]
    Cureus. 2026 May; 18(5):e109992.Elmobark M, Ali WC
  • Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is a rare multisystem necrotizing vasculitis involving small to medium-sized vessels and is commonly associated with proteinase 3 antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (PR3 ANCA). While pulmonary and renal manifestations are classically recognized, atypical presentations with predominant constitutional, sinonasal, ophthalmological, and endocrine manifestatio…
  • Multi-antigen-targeting T cells in pediatric central nervous system tumors: a phase 1 trial. [Journal Article]
Nat Med. 2026 Jun 30. [Online ahead of print]Gomez S, DiCioccio RA, … Hwang EINMed
  • Central nervous system (CNS) tumors are the deadliest cancers in children, highlighting the need for new therapies. The tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) WT1, PRAME and survivin are widely expressed by these tumors, and a manufacturing technique has been developed to target these intracellular TAAs using autologous, nongenetically engineered T cells. Here we therefore conducted ReMIND, an open-lab…
