- A case report of pacemaker endocarditis presenting as osteitis in a high-surgical-risk patient: a management challenge with thromboaspiration and leadless pacemaker implantation. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This case emphasizes the importance of early suspicion, advanced imaging, and tailored management of cardiac implantable electronic device-related endocarditis. Leadless pacemakers and percutaneous aspiration represent valuable strategies in high-risk patients to reduce infection recurrence and embolic risk.

- A Case Report - K Wire as Guide in Endoscopic Plantar Fascia Release for Beginners. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: A simple k wire is a useful tool in a procedure like EPER, which has a steep learning curve. The use of k wire alleviates the complications of excess soft tissue and fat pad dissection and reduces the radiographic assistance.

- Toe walking: A regional analysis of TTN variants between c.10,000 and c.99,999 in a cohort of children. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Children carrying TTN variants within the c.10,000-99,999 region exhibited broadly similar clinical phenotypes characterized by persistent toe walking and reduced ankle dorsiflexion. Stratification by cDNA location did not reveal clear genotype-phenotype clustering, suggesting limited predictive value of variant position alone and supporting the need for functional and segregation-based studies in future research.

- Outcome Analysis of Leukocyte-Rich Platelet-Rich Plasma, Leukocyte-Poor Platelet-Rich Plasma, and Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin in the Management of Chronic Plantar Fasciitis: A Prospective Comparative Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: LR-PRP, LP-PRP, and iPRF are effective and safe injectable biologics for chronic PF, with iPRF being the only preparation that does not contain anticoagulants and where the growth factors are released over time, showing a slight but consistent functional benefit at 6 months.

- Public knowledge of plantar fasciitis and its determinants in Saudi Arabia: A national cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]J Family Med Prim Care. 2026 Jun; 15(6):2230-2237.JF
- CONCLUSIONS: Public knowledge of PI in Saudi Arabia is satisfactory overall, with notable deficits in understanding specific clinical symptoms and preventive strategies. While the public relies heavily on digital media for health information, this reliance is associated with lower knowledge levels compared to professional consultation. Based on these findings, we recommend integrating professional medical expertise into digital channels and employing multi-platform awareness campaign strategies to enhance public understanding and ensure high-quality information reaches the wider population.

- The Sports Med Foot/Ankle: Not Always a Sprain. [Journal Article]Foot Ankle Spec. 2026 Aug 12; :19386400261475725. [Online ahead of print]FA
- Foot and ankle injuries are among the most common musculoskeletal conditions encountered in both athletic and general populations, accounting for a substantial proportion of emergency and sports medicine visits. These injuries encompass a wide spectrum, from acute ligamentous sprains to more subtle and frequently misdiagnosed conditions such as Lisfranc ligament injuries, tarsal coalitions, and p…

- Diagnostic value of piezogenic papules in childhood: A scoping review and analysis of existing data. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: PP are common and largely asymptomatic in children and adolescents. Although presumably more pronounced in individuals with HSD/hEDS, no statistically significant differences between groups were identified. Current evidence does not clearly support a diagnostic value, highlighting the need for further studies.

- Haglund Syndrome: A Mechanical Cause of Posterior Heel Pain. [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 Jul; 18(7):e112434.C
- Haglund syndrome has become an important consideration in the differential diagnosis of posterior heel pain. It results from mechanical conflict between a prominent posterosuperior calcaneal tuberosity, the Achilles tendon, and the surrounding bursae. We report the case of a 45-year-old woman presenting with chronic posterior heel pain associated with a visible deformity of the posterior ankle. I…

- Achilles Tendon Rupture Repaired With TeKBrace Augmentation: A Case Report. [Journal Article]Foot Ankle Spec. 2026 Aug 11; :19386400261476784. [Online ahead of print]FA
- Achilles tendon rupture is a common injury among active adults and frequently requires surgical repair in high-demand patients. Augmentation techniques have been developed to improve repair strength and reduce re-rupture risk, particularly in cases of degenerative tendon tissue. TeKBrace, a woven polyester mesh, provides mechanical reinforcement while allowing biologic integration. We present the…

- CONCLUSIONS: In our cohort from King Saud Medical City, plantar fasciitis was managed mainly with conservative measures and was associated with meaningful patient-reported pain improvement and high satisfaction; however, recurrence was not uncommon and was significantly associated with obesity, supporting the importance of addressing weight-related risk alongside conservative management to reduce recurrence.

- Xanthogranulomatous epithelial tumour of the calcaneus in a 32-year-old female: a rare entity. [Journal Article]
- Xanthogranulomatous epithelial tumour (XGET) is a recently described, rare mesenchymal neoplasm characterized by a HMGA2::NCOR2 gene fusion. We report a case of primary intraosseous XGET in the calcaneus of a 32-year-old female presenting with a 10-month history of heel pain. Initial differential diagnosis based on imaging features of the lytic calcaneal lesion included giant cell tumour of bone …

- Motor Strength Recovery Following Unilateral MILD® Procedure in a Patient With Severe Spinal Stenosis and Associated Foot Drop. [Case Reports]Pain Med Case Rep. 2026 Jul; 10(5):423-427.PM
- CONCLUSIONS: Our case demonstrates that early use of the MILD procedure may facilitate rapid and durable motor recovery in selected patients with LSS and focal motor weakness due to ligamentum flavum hypertrophy. The MILD procedure offers a lower-risk alternative to open surgery, with significant improvements in function and quality of life. Larger studies are warranted to further validate its role in this patient population.
