  • Painless Ischemic Priapism Associated With Tamsulosin Use: A Case Report and Literature Review. [Case Reports]
Cureus. 2026 Jul; 18(7):e111899.Rector CE, Lei K, … Sukin SC
  • Tamsulosin, a selective α1-adrenergic antagonist prescribed for benign prostatic hyperplasia and expulsion of ureteral stones, carries a rare risk of priapism. We present a 59-year-old male with hypogonadism, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia who developed painless priapism 72 hours after initiating tamsulosin for ureterolithiasis. Despite the atypical absence of pain, penile blood gas analysis co…
  • Sex-Associated Differences in Age-Related Sensorineural Hearing Loss: Why Are Men More Vulnerable? [Review]
World J Mens Health. 2026 Jul 20. [Online ahead of print]Lee S, Choi SWWJ
  • Age-related hearing loss is a progressive bilateral sensorineural loss that increases steeply with age, contributing to communication disabilities and social isolation, impacting healthy aging. Across diverse cohorts, men tend to develop earlier and more severe high-frequency threshold elevations than age-matched women. This male disadvantage is partly explained by gender-related lifetime exposur…
  • Outcomes and Predictors in Hypogonadal Oligospermic Men Treated with Clomiphene Citrate. [Journal Article]
    World J Mens Health. 2026 Jun 05. [Online ahead of print]Pozzi E, Luca S, … Salonia AWJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: Clomiphene citrate 50 mg daily normalized testosterone in 9 of 10 men with hypogonadism and oligospermia. Baseline estradiol predicted testosterone response, while sperm improvements were more likely in men with lower baseline counts. Although sperm concentration increased in most patients, clinical relevance was modest and nearly one-third worsened. Clomiphene citrate may be considered for testosterone optimization, particularly in men with higher estradiol, but fertility expectations should be managed.
  • Restoring testosterone homeostasis: The therapeutic potential of stem Leydig cells for late-onset hypogonadism. [Review]
Exp Gerontol. 2026 Jul 29; :113256. [Online ahead of print]Xu S, Xu Y, Yang YEG
  • Late-Onset Hypogonadism (LOH), also known as male menopause syndrome, is a common health problem plaguing middle-aged and elderly men. Its core pathophysiological change lies in the progressive decline of testosterone levels in men with age. This leads to a series of symptoms involving sexual function, physical, and psychological aspects, seriously affecting the quality of life and overall health…
  • Abstract: Normal Serum IgG4 in Biopsy Proven IgG4 Related Hypophysitis: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
    S D Med. 2026 May; 79(suppl 5):s40.Minhaj A, Sunny A, … Alijriri Alhesan NSD
  • CONCLUSIONS: IgG4-RH accounts for less than 5% of all hypophysitis cases. Panhypopituitarism is the most common presentation of IgG4-related hypophysitis. This case highlights a diagnostically challenging presentation of IgG4-related hypophysitis with normal serum IgG4 levels. Clinicians should maintain suspicion for IgG4-RD in patients with unexplained hypophysitis even when serum IgG4 is normal.
  • Metastatic large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma: a rare cause of hypopituitarism. [Case Reports]
JCEM Case Rep. 2026 Sep; 4(9):luag205.Nair S, Ahmed T, Watari JJC
  • Pituitary metastases from pulmonary large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) are exceedingly rare but should be considered in patients presenting with arginine vasopressin deficiency and panhypopituitarism in the context of known or suspected metastatic lung cancer. Early recognition and prompt initiation of hormonal replacement therapy are essential to prevent life-threatening endocrine crise…
  • Rod-cone dystrophy with myriad systemic manifestations. [Case Reports]
    Oman J Ophthalmol. 2026; 19(2):267-270.Patil G, Pandarasamy P, … Ganne POJ
  • Rod-cone dystrophy (RCD) is an inherited retinal disorder primarily affecting rod photoreceptors, followed by cone degeneration. We present the case of a 26-year-old male with RCD and multiple systemic abnormalities (atrial septal defect, hypogonadism, liver disease with gastric varices, hypertriglyceredemia, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, and delayed epiphyseal closure) in the same indiv…
  • Comparison of Ovarian Stimulation Protocols in Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism: Case Series and Review of Literature. [Case Reports]
    Int J Womens Health. 2026; 18:612954.Zulfa F, Tjahyadi D, … Rachmawati AIJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism remains a challenging cause of infertility requiring individualized ovarian stimulation strategies. This case series demonstrated heterogenous reproductive outcomes following different stimulation protocols, suggesting that tailored gonadotropin-based therapy may be effective in selected patients with HH. The potential benefit of adjunctive growth hormone requires further evaluation in larger prospective studies.
  • Male Obesity and Cardiometabolic Risk: Inflammatory Mechanisms and Clinical Implications. [Review]
Biomedicines. 2026 Jun 23; 14(7).Medeiros RO, Galhardi CM, … Barasuol AMB
  • Obesity is a major global health challenge strongly associated with increased cardiometabolic morbidity and mortality. In men, obesity is characterized by a predominance of visceral adiposity, which is metabolically active and closely linked to systemic inflammation, hormonal dysregulation, and adverse cardiovascular outcomes. Despite its clinical relevance, male obesity remains underrecognized a…
  • Is Male Hypogonadism a Risk Factor for Cancer Through Weakening of the Immune System? [Review]
    Int J Mol Sci. 2026 Jul 18; 27(14).La Vignera S, Condorelli RAIJ
  • Male hypogonadism is associated with metabolic and cardiovascular comorbidities, and emerging evidence implicates testosterone deficiency in immune dysregulation that may elevate cancer risk. To review current evidence on the relationship between male hypogonadism, immune function, and cancer risk, focusing on mechanisms linking testosterone deficiency to immune suppression and oncologic outcomes…
