- The gender paradox of infertility: a comparative study of marital adjustment and sexual dysfunction in Bangladesh. [Journal Article]Sex Med. 2026 Aug; 14(4):qfag040.SM
- CONCLUSIONS: A substantial "gender paradox" exists in infertility-related sexual health in Bangladesh, where men exhibit a significantly higher prevalence of sexual dysfunction than women. These findings highlight the necessity of integrating sexual medicine and psychological counseling into routine infertility management to improve both reproductive outcomes and marital quality. Strengths include the use of validated psychometric instruments and a relatively large, clinic-based sample. Limitations include cross-sectional design and reliance on self-report measures, which may limit generalizability and causal interpretation.

- Investigating the association of fetal sex and hypertensive pregnancy outcomes across varying conception types: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]J Gynecol Obstet Hum Reprod. 2026 Jun 01; :103227. [Online ahead of print]JG
- CONCLUSIONS: . These results further inform the importance of considering fetal sex in obstetric outcomes, as assessing mixed-sex populations across all gestational ages at delivery may mask heterogeneity driven by sexual dimorphism. Irrespective of sex, these findings also provide insight on the risks of assisted reproductive technology in the context of maternal health outcomes.

- [Endocrine genesis of the development of menstrual cycle disorders in reproductive age]. [Journal Article]Probl Endokrinol (Mosk). 2026 May 20; 72(2):108-115.PE
- In recent decades, the Russian government has been committed to improving the country's demographic situation. Therefore, obstetricians and gynecologists pay special attention to women of reproductive age, whose reproductive system disorders can lead to infertility and the inability to conceive. Menstrual cycle disorders (MCDs) are a manifestation of various pathological conditions associated not…

- Age-related female infertility: aetiological mechanisms and evidence-based and experimental interventions. [Review]Reprod Biomed Online. 2026 Apr 25; 53(2):105734. [Online ahead of print]RB
- Age-related infertility has become the primary determinant of reproductive failure in modern societies due to a growing mismatch between biological and social fertility timelines. Accordingly, this review, adopting a uniquely holistic perspective, highlights the critical intersection between the demographic shift towards delayed parenthood and the physiological limitations of female reproductive …

- Economic evaluation of sterilization reversal in infertility treatment: A systematic review. [Systematic Review]PLoS One. 2026; 21(6):e0350275.Plos
- CONCLUSIONS: Tubal anastomosis and vasectomy reversal may be economically advantageous compared with assisted reproductive technologies for infertility due to prior sterilization. However, societal factors, including a country's socioeconomic context and policy feasibility, should be considered.

- Factors influencing abnormal cleavage of early embryos: time-lapse imaging analysis of 138,178 normally fertilized embryos. [Journal Article]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1754938.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: ABNCL is a common event during early embryo development and is significantly influenced by both patient characteristics and treatment strategies. Endometriosis, unexplained infertility, higher oocyte yield, ICSI, and rescue ICSI were associated with increased ABNCL risk, whereas mild stimulation and higher E2 levels on the trigger day appeared protective. These findings underscore the importance of individualized COS and fertilization strategies to promote optimal early embryo development in assisted reproductive technology; however, their implications are limited to cleavage-stage outcomes and should not be extrapolated to later developmental or clinical endpoints.

- Impact of GnRH antagonist protocols versus progestin-primed ovarian stimulation on reproductive outcomes in advanced reproductive age women: a propensity score-matched retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1781506.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: This study indicates that the GnRH-ant stimulation protocol is advantageous as compared to the PPOS protocol for infertile women with ARA undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation combined with frozen embryo transfer, as evidenced by improved embryological outcomes, higher CPRs, and higher LBRs.

- Effect of basal LH levels on pregnancy outcome after IVF/ICSI fresh embryo transfer in patients of different ages: a retrospective study. [Journal Article]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1820385.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: Elevated basal serum LH levels are associated with higher CPR and LBR following fresh embryo transfer in patients aged <35 years, but this association is not observed in women aged ≥35 years.

- Meiotic gene variants contribute to recurrent blastulation failure. [Journal Article]Hum Reprod Open. 2026; 2026(3):hoag039.HR
- CONCLUSIONS: Variants in meiotic genes may contribute to gamete-derived complex aneuploidy and impaired embryonic genome activation, which are strongly associated with recurrent blastulation failure in good-quality cleavage-stage embryos (R-GQBF).Direct evaluation of oocyte chromosomal integrity was not feasible. Larger cohorts may reveal additional genes, and functional studies in animal models are required to validate genotype-phenotype relationships. This study identifies biparental meiotic variants as an underrecognized cause of R-GQBF. Clinically, beyond routine extended embryo culture, chromosomal analysis should be recommended for etiological investigation. For couples experiencing recurrent complex aneuploidy in good-quality cleavage-stage embryos, genetic screening for meiotic variants may aid in diagnosis, counseling, and personalized treatment planning.

- Preferences of women experiencing infertility for in vitro fertilisation treatment in China: a discrete choice experiment. [Journal Article]BMJ Public Health. 2026; 4(2):e002188.BP
- CONCLUSIONS: Chinese women undergoing infertility treatment place the greatest value on higher IVF pregnancy rates, fewer side effects and lower treatment costs. Patient-centred counselling, burden-reduction strategies and policies that reduce financial barriers, including potential insurance coverage, may improve IVF acceptability, continuation and utilisation. Tailored approaches are needed to address preference heterogeneity across patient subgroups.

- CONCLUSIONS: These 2026 ATA guidelines provide updated, evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis and management of thyroid disease in women during preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum. While acknowledging that much of the evidence remains of low-to-moderate quality, these guidelines represent current best practices and consensus among international experts from different fields, offering an optimized framework for individualized patient care.

- Disorders of gonadotropin pulsatility contribute to reproductive dysfunction in humans and are often associated with metabolic dysfunction. Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism is characterized by chronically insufficient gonadotropin hormone production, leading to reproductive and metabolic impairments, such as infertility and obesity. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is characterized by accelerated go…

- The association between endometrial thickness and ectopic pregnancy among women who underwent in vitro fertilization, systematic review and meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]J Matern Fetal Neonatal Med. 2026 Dec; 39(1):2670736.JM
- CONCLUSIONS: Thinner endometrial thickness is associated with an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy in IVF; however, this finding should be interpreted cautiously due to the observational design, potential confounding, and publication bias. Clinically, this may aid in risk stratification but should not be used alone, and further prospective studies are needed to confirm its independent predictive value.

- RNA binding protein RBM46, as an integral component of MEIOC-YTHDC2 complex, governs the RNA binding specificity in posttranscriptional regulation of male meiotic initiation. RBM46 is also indispensable for embryonic oocyte development in mice. However, the precise phenotypic consequences and underlying regulatory mechanisms of RBM46 in female germ cells remain largely uncharacterized. Here, we d…
