  • In modern society, the progression of ovarian aging in women has accelerated, and the incidence of infertility has increased markedly with a distinct younger-onset trend. Exploring the etiology and pathogenesis of infertility has become a core research focus for clinicians. Plastic products bring tremendous convenience to modern life, while the health risks caused by plastic pollution have arouse…
  • Neonatal diethylstilbestrol exposure disrupts uterine epithelial apical-basal polarity and partial EMT state. [Journal Article]
    Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2026 Aug 25; 123(34):e2603458123.Bainbridge RE, Jefferson WN, … Williams CJPN
  • The developing female reproductive tract is highly sensitive to external hormonal stimulation, which can result in infertility and gynecologic diseases. To determine the underlying mechanisms, we used a mouse model to test the direct, cell type-specific effects of neonatal exposure to the estrogenic chemical, diethylstilbestrol (DES), on the developing uterus. We found that control uterine epithe…
  • Preimplantation genetic testing for male factor infertility: lights and shadows. [Review]
    J Endocrinol Invest. 2026 Aug 17. [Online ahead of print]Mazzilli R, Cimadomo D, … Ferlin AJE
  • CONCLUSIONS: Available evidence, often based on heterogeneous and old-fashioned methodologies, suggests that MFI may impair embryonic development, particularly in terms of fertilization rate and blastulation rate, more than embryo euploidy; however, a comprehensive evaluation of MFI should be integrated into clinical practice in the context of couple infertility, to also optimize the efficiency and outcomes of ART. Promising results emerged from sperm DNA fragmentation as a tool to predict embryo euploidy, but further investigations involving larger sample sizes and improved standardization are required.
  • Perceptions and protective experiences regarding reproductive hazards among operating room healthcare workers of childbearing age: a qualitative study. [Journal Article]
    Front Public Health. 2026; 14:1877652.Jiang M, Wang Y, … Fan KFP
  • CONCLUSIONS: This study provides new insights into the occupational reproductive protection dilemmas faced by operating room healthcare workers of childbearing age. It highlights the necessity for comprehensive interventions targeting issues such as the collective neglect of male reproductive risks, insufficient resource allocation, and team-based protection dilemmas reliant on interpersonal negotiation. Healthcare policymakers and managers should provide greater organizational support and foster a non-punitive safety culture, empowering healthcare workers to effectively safeguard their occupational reproductive health rights.
