  • The use of menopause hormone therapy in borderline ovarian tumor survivors: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Review]
    Climacteric. 2026 Jun 08; :1-11. [Online ahead of print]Mejia-Gomez J, Tigert M, … Zigras TC
  • CONCLUSIONS: Evidence on the MHT-BOT association is heterogeneous and inconsistent. Although a statistical association was observed between combined MHT and increased odds of BOTs, postsurgical safety data are limited and overall certainty of evidence is very low; findings warrant considerable caution. Current literature is insufficient to confirm or exclude an association between MHT and BOT recurrence or survival. Indications for MHT after BOT surgery require individualized, multidisciplinary discussion involving oncology and menopause specialists, balancing quality-of-life benefits against unquantified theoretical risks.
  • Deciphering Sleepless Nights: Nocturia Analyzed Through a CART-Based Predictive Model in Patients With Insomnia. Retrospective Data From the TUCSON Study. [Journal Article]
Neurourol Urodyn. 2026 Jun 08. [Online ahead of print]Verbakel I, Boukheir G, … Everaert KNU
  • CONCLUSIONS: This study is the first to investigate clinical and polysomnographic predictors of nocturia within a select insomnia population. While exploratory CART modeling allowed the identification of potential non-linear relationships and clinically relevant subgroups, its predictive performance was limited and inferior to logistic regression after internal validation. Although FUSP was not consistently retained across resampled models, its role as a potential contributor to nocturia remains of interest and warrants further investigation in larger, well-defined cohorts.
  • Melatonin and sleep: Exploring its role in regulating the circadian rhythm and sleep-wake cycle. [Review]
J Family Med Prim Care. 2026 Mar; 15(3):1057-1062.Wani PDJF
  • Sleep is a vital physiological process essential for maintaining overall health, supporting cellular repair, immune regulation, and cognitive functions. Sleep disruptions are associated with adverse health outcomes, including cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and impaired mental health. Sleep regulation is orchestrated by the circadian rhythm and homeostatic sleep drive, with melatoni…
  • Prevalence and Associated Risk Factors for Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia Among University Students in Bangladesh: A Cross-Sectional Study. [Journal Article]
Health Sci Rep. 2026 Jun; 9(6):e72309.Muskan FF, Ifty M, … Kabir ERHS
  • CONCLUSIONS: The findings reveal that Bangladeshi university students experience alarmingly high rates of anxiety, depressive symptoms, and insomnia, with female, married, and chronically ill students particularly vulnerable. Protective factors such as having siblings and a higher BMI were identified. From a clinical perspective, the results underscore the value of early and regular prescreening in university settings, combined with intervention studies to evaluate preventive and therapeutic strategies. Universities and policymakers should prioritize accessible counseling, awareness campaigns, and early screening programs tailored to the demographic risk groups identified in this study.
