  • Photodynamic therapy in modern dentistry: Mechanisms, clinical applications, and future perspectives - a narrative review. [Review]
    Wiad Lek. 2026; 79(5):1092-1099.Antończyk M, Lipka B, … Widz WWL
  • CONCLUSIONS: Conclusions: Photodynamic therapy represents a valuable adjunct in minimally invasive dentistry, offering targeted therapeutic benefits across multiple clinical applications. Despite promising evidence, barriers to routine clinical adoption remain. Ongoing advances in photosensitizer design, nanotechnology-based delivery systems, and light technologies are expected to enhance standardization, clinical effectiveness, and wider implementation.
  • Pathology illustrates pathogenesis of indium lung diseases in rats induced by indium-tin oxide nanoparticles. [Journal Article]
Free Radic Biol Med. 2026 Jun 03; 253:500-513. [Online ahead of print]Liu N, Wan P, … Li GFR
  • Indium lung disease remains an ultra-rare interstitial lung disease with no initiative effective in changing the trial. It is related to excessive protein deposition, the development of interstitial inflammation, and subsequent pulmonary fibrosis. This is a "destructive" pulmonary disease. The pathogenesis of indium lung disease remains unclear because the disease progresses continuously, making …
  • Case Report: Pulmonary brucellosis presenting as multiple cavitary lung lesions on imaging. [Case Reports]
    Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1814731.Wang T, Wang M, … Hou LFM
  • Pulmonary brucellosis is a rare focal manifestation of human brucellosis with non-specific clinical features. Predominant imaging findings include pneumonia, pleural effusion, pulmonary nodules, abscesses, and interstitial changes. Multiple cavitary lesions are exceptionally rare. Herein, we report a case of bilateral multiple pulmonary cavities in a 76-year-old man with a 2-year history of inter…
  • Updated trends in the global prevalence and burden of mental disorders, 1990-2023: a systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023. [Systematic Review]
    Lancet. 2026 May 23; 407(10543):2040-2064.GBD 2023 Mental Disorder CollaboratorsLct
  • CONCLUSIONS: A significant health burden was imposed by mental disorders in all countries and territories in 2023, irrespective of the health resources available. In some instances, this burden has increased over time and is unevenly distributed across populations. Stronger surveillance systems, particularly in low-income and middle-income countries, are required. Additionally, we need more coordinated and inclusive policies to reduce the burden through early treatment and prevention, tailored to sex and age differences across locations. Responding to the mental health needs of our global population, especially those most vulnerable, is an obligation, not a choice.
  • Inflammatory Pulpal Responses to LPS Repeated Inductions in Rat Molar. [Journal Article]
    Eur Endod J. 2026 Feb 13; 11(1):9-16.Renard E, Florimond M, … Boukpessi TEE
  • CONCLUSIONS: This model offers preliminary knowledge about the sequential molecular and histological responses of rat pulp to repeated bacterial challenges. Although further work is needed to isolate LPS-specific effects and confirm chronic features, these findings help delineate the early dynamics of pulp inflammation.
