  • CONCLUSIONS: VPD is an underrecognized sequela of HNC treatment, and may be associated with primary tumor subsite, advanced disease, and radiation dose. Treatment modality contributes to latency in VPD diagnosis. Variability in SLP evaluation and outcome measurement highlights the need for more standardized assessment approaches to improve identification and management of VPD in this population.
  • ENDOSCOPIC ENDONASAL TREATMENT OF PRIMARY INVERTED PAPILLOMA OF THE SPHENOID SINUS: A CLINICAL CASE. [Case Reports]
    Georgian Med News. 2026 May; (374):27-34.Seiitkhan M, Saparbek A, … Stanova SGM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Endoscopic surgery with a posterior septectomy demonstrates feasibility in the treatment of primary sphenoid sinus inverted papilloma in this case. Complete macroscopic resection was achieved without perioperative complications, need for transfusion, cerebrospinal fluid leak, visual disturbance, septal perforation, or prolonged hospitalization, and with no evidence of recurrence at six months, indicating short-term disease control.

  • Cavernous venous malformations (CVMs) of the paranasal sinuses are rare benign vascular lesions that can mimic aggressive neoplasms. Here, we report a 24-year-old male presenting with progressive nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea, and visual impairment. Preoperative CT demonstrated an expansile, soft-tissue mass within the left frontal sinus, characterized by a delicate osseous shell, internal radial…

  • Nasolabial cysts are rare, benign, nonodontogenic, extraosseous maxillofacial lesions, with bilateral involvement being uncommon. A 40-year-old woman presented with long-standing bilateral nasal vestibular swelling. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated well-defined bilateral cystic lesions along the nasal floor with characteristic signal intensities and smooth anterior maxillary bone sca…

We present a case of a 32-year-old man with a 3-year history of progressive neck swelling, dysphagia, and dysphonia. The patient initially attributed the neck sw…

  • Schneiderian inverted papilloma is a benign, locally aggressive tumor that typically arises in the respiratory mucosa of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. These tumors are often asymptomatic but can cause unilateral nasal obstruction, discharge, hyposmia and epistaxis.
