  • High stakes: how legal cannabis pricing impacts the illicit market. [Journal Article]
J Cannabis Res. 2026 Jun 06. [Online ahead of print]Hebert R, Boehnke KF, Joshi SJC
  • CONCLUSIONS: We saw lower illicit market prices in states with recreational dispensaries. Our results suggest that the price ranking of legal versus illicit cannabis within a given state differs depending on the state's recreational market maturity, with states with older markets - all of which also had more flexible licensing policies - having a legal cannabis price advantage.
  • Targeting P2X receptor signaling for chronic visceral pain and beyond. [Review]
Neuropharmacology. 2026 Jun 04; :111049. [Online ahead of print]Shen B, Zhang HH, … Xu GYN
  • P2X receptors (P2XRs) are ATP-gated cation channels that play a pivotal role in chronic visceral pain (CVP). This review highlights the central contribution of the ATP-P2X3/4/7 axis in peripheral and central sensitization underlying CVP. Recent discoveries have identified the non-coding RNA miR-1306-3p as an endogenous nanomolar agonist of P2X3 receptors, coupling chronic stress to visceral pain …
  • Subcutaneous Schwannoma on the leg with hemorrhagic cystic degeneration: a case report. [Journal Article]

  • We report a case of a 64-year-old woman who had a subcutaneous schwannoma accompanied by hemorrhagic cystic degeneration in the left lower extremity. The patient presented with a progressively enlarging subcutaneous mass over an 8-year course, accompanied by activity-induced dull pain. Physical examination revealed a firm, well-defined nodule measuring 5.0 × 3.5 × 0.5 cm, with a negative Tinel's …
  • Multidimensional analysis of the clinical spectrum and symptom burden of unexplained myofascial pain. [Journal Article]
Arch Phys Med Rehabil. 2026 Jun 04. [Online ahead of print]Sikdar S, DeStefano S, … Gerber LHAP
  • CONCLUSIONS: The multi-dimensional symptom burden explains the variability in the clinical spectrum of pain intensity and interference in unexplained neck/shoulder MP. Network analysis can further improve clinical risk stratification. These findings represent a step towards an eventual goal of developing multidisciplinary clinical guidance for managing the whole patient, rather than the current emphasis on regional pain contributors in MP.
