- Impact of Sexual Positioning on Stage of Syphilis at Diagnosis Among Men Who Have Sex with Men. [Journal Article]Sex Transm Dis. 2026 Jun 22. [Online ahead of print]ST
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that differences in sexual positioning may influence the stage at which syphilis is diagnosed among MSM. Further research in larger samples is needed to better understand these differences and their underlying mechanisms and to assess potential implications for clinical detection and diagnosis.

- The First Moroccan Experience of Personalized Template‑Guided High-Dose-Rate Brachytherapy for Organ Preservation in Glans Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Game Changer or Challenge? [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 May; 18(5):e108660.C
- Squamous cell carcinoma of the glans is a rare malignancy, often diagnosed at an advanced stage, and its management remains challenging. Therapeutic approaches are multimodal and depend on tumor stage, risk of recurrence, nodal involvement, and disease extent. Organ-preserving strategies are increasingly advocated, particularly in patients who refuse mutilating surgery. We report the first Morocc…

- Penile strangulation by metallic key holder in an adolescent: a case report and literature review. [Case Reports]Ann Med Surg (Lond). 2026 Jun; 88(6):3594-3597.AM
- CONCLUSIONS: Penile strangulation demands urgent, device-specific intervention guided by assessment of constriction duration, perfusion status, and object composition. Adherence to graded management algorithms and early psychiatric evaluation are recommended to minimize long-term morbidity and address contributory behavioral factors.

- High-risk human papillomavirus positivity and associated factors among women living with HIV in public health facilities of Mekelle, Northern Ethiopia. [Journal Article]Infect Agent Cancer. 2026 May 30. [Online ahead of print]IA
- CONCLUSIONS: The findings of the current study indicate a high burden (39.7%) of oncogenic HPV strains among HIV-positive women, though lower than the pooled estimates in sub-Saharan Africa. Notably, HPV-16 and the non-HPV-16/18 high-risk genotypes collectively accounted for the majority of infections. Factors that influenced the presence of high-risk HPV included a history of unprotected sex before marriage, oral contraceptive use, vaginal discharge, genital ulcer disease, lack of awareness regarding HPV and cervical cancer, a shorter duration since ART initiation, frequent ART interruptions, and detectable recent HIV viral loads.

- Unveiling Genital Crohn's Disease: Clinical Complications, Diagnosis, and Treatment, a Comprehensive Review of Case Reports. [Review]Gastro Hep Adv. 2026; 5(6):100918.GH
- Genital Crohn's disease (GCD) is an infrequent extraintestinal manifestation of Crohn's disease characterized by ulceration, pain, edema, and erythema in the anogenital area. GCD poses significant diagnostic and management challenges, mainly because there are no standardized clinical protocols. This review analyzed 20 case reports and series from 1983 to 2024, focusing on patients with GCD. The d…

- Behçet's disease presenting with intracardiac thrombus and pulmonary thromboembolism in a young Ethiopian male: a case report. [Journal Article]J Med Case Rep. 2026 May 17. [Online ahead of print]JM
- CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights a rare but serious cardiovascular presentation of BD in a region where it is seldom reported. It underscores the importance of clinical vigilance for BD in young patients with unexplained thrombotic events. Early diagnosis and appropriate immunosuppressive and anticoagulant therapy are essential for improving outcomes.

- Clinical phenotypes and treatment patterns in men with chronic pelvic pain: a tertiary referral cohort. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Most patients with CP/CPPS experienced clinically meaningful pain reduction following subspecialist evaluation. Diffuse pain without clear triggers is common. Greater improvement with nerve blocks and treatment of Hunner's lesions supports a phenotype-driven approach. However, studies are needed to isolate and validate treatment effects.

- Schwannoma of the penis: a case report. [Journal Article]J Med Case Rep. 2026 May 08. [Online ahead of print]JM
- CONCLUSIONS: Penile schwannoma, though rare, should be considered in the differential diagnosis of penile masses. Accurate diagnosis relies on histopathological and immunohistochemical evaluation. Complete surgical excision with nerve preservation offers favorable outcomes and minimal functional impairment.

- Penile metastasis from prostate adenocarcinoma: A case report and review of the literature. [Case Reports]SAGE Open Med Case Rep. 2026; 14:2050313X251388198.SO
- Penile metastasis from prostate adenocarcinoma is an exceptionally rare clinical finding, occurring in <0.3% of cases. We report an 85-year-old male with a history of Gleason 4+3 acinar adenocarcinoma, managed conservatively with long-term bicalutamide monotherapy because of his clinical stability. Eight years after diagnosis, he developed a painful, ulcerated glans lesion, surgically excised via…

- Mechanism of Shaofu Zhuyu decoction in improving diabetic mellitus erectile dysfunction inhibition of ferroptosis based on network pharmacology and experimental validation. [Journal Article]J Tradit Chin Med. 2026 Apr; 46(2):382-391.JT
- CONCLUSIONS: This study explored the potential mechanisms and efficacy of the TCM prescription SFZYD in treating DMED through data mining, network pharmacology analysis, cellular experiments, and animal experiments. It verified its effectiveness in repairing HG-induced CCECs damage, improving the pathological state of penile tissue in diabetic rats, and restoring erectile function by regulating the Nrf2/HO-1/GPX4 signaling pathway. This provides new insights and scientific evidence for treating DMED with TCM.

- Mondor's Disease of the Penis: Clinical Presentation, Diagnosis, and Conservative Management. [Journal Article]Ann Afr Med. 2026 Apr 16. [Online ahead of print]AA
- Mondor's disease of the penis is a rare, benign thrombophlebitis of the superficial dorsal vein, often presenting as a painful, cord-like induration along the penile shaft. Though alarming to patients, it is a self-limiting condition that responds well to conservative management. A 54-year-old male presented with pain and swelling over the dorsal shaft of the penis for 15 days. Examination reveal…

- Kaposi sarcoma is a vascular neoplasm driven by human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8), commonly seen in the setting of immunosuppression, such as HIV/AIDS or posttransplant therapy. The presentation of Kaposi sarcoma in HIV-negative patients with multicentric Castleman disease is exceedingly rare, particularly with uncommon histology subtypes and involvement of the penile shaft. A 58-year-old HIV-negative …
