- Penile nodules with concurrent intravesical BCG-associated tuberculous granulomatous prostatitis: An unusual case report. [Case Reports]Med J Armed Forces India. 2026 Jul-Aug; 82(4):485-488.MJ
- Intravesical Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) related complications are known to present in a myriad of forms. We report an unusual presentation of subcutaneous penile nodules without balanitis or glans ulceration with concomitant granulomatous prostatitis following the induction course of BCG for bladder cancer. Levels of evidence are not applicable.

- CONCLUSIONS: This study provides a postmarketing pharmacovigilance signal profile of AE reports involving ozanimod. The findings support continued monitoring of labeled safety concerns, careful interpretation of disease-activity-related reports, and further validation of selected unlabeled signals in prospective studies or better-controlled real-world datasets.

- Metachronous Penile Metastasis From Advanced Anorectal Carcinoma: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 Jun; 18(6):e111110.C
- Secondary penile involvement in anorectal carcinoma represents an uncommon manifestation of advanced metastatic disease, with few cases documented in the literature. Despite the rich vascular and lymphatic supply of penile tissue, penile metastases arise predominantly from genitourinary primaries; an anorectal origin is exceptionally rare and is generally associated with poor oncologic outcomes. …

- Dermatological manifestations associated with chemsex. [Review]J Eur Acad Dermatol Venereol. 2026 Jul 11. [Online ahead of print]JE
- Chemsex involves the use of psychoactive substances to facilitate or enhance sexual activity, particularly among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM). Common substances used include methamphetamine, gamma-hydroxybutyric acid/gamma-butyrolactone (GHB/GBL), mephedrone, ketamine, inhaled nitrites ('poppers'), and cocaine, all of which are linked to various dermatological compli…

- Masson's tumor masquerading as a genital ulcer: A vascular impostor in an unlikely site. [Case Reports]Indian J Sex Transm Dis AIDS. 2026; 47(1):63-65.IJ
- Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH), or Masson's tumor, is a rare benign vascular lesion, seldom described in the genital region. We report a 20-year-old male presenting with a painless penile ulcer initially mistaken for a sexually transmitted infection. Histopathology showed characteristic papillary endothelial proliferation within vessel lumina, with no atypia. Complete exci…

- Pyoderma gangrenosum is a non-bacterial inflammatory disease that forms ulcers and abscesses and can be exacerbated by mechanical stimulation. Surgical intervention for abscesses in the corpora cavernosa may exacerbate penile pyoderma gangrenosum. We report a case of penile pyoderma gangrenosum that was diagnosed minimally invasively by biopsy alone and treated with steroids. A 77-year-old man wi…

- Severe Orofacial Manifestations in Monkeypox Infection. [Case Reports]Acta Dermatovenerol Croat. 2025 Dec; 33(4):191-192.AD
- A 30-year-old man with recent diagnosis of HIV-infection was seen in the hospital, because of a 1-month history of swollen lips, painful oral mucosa ulcers, cervical lymph nodes and skin lesions. The medical history showed a previous patient contact with 10 subjects, with positivity for Monkeypox virus in 8 subjects. A week later, he began with lesions on the genitals, managed with acyclovir, and…
- Severe Clade I (subclade Ib) mpox in advanced HIV complicated by multidrug-resistant bacterial superinfection and ocular involvement: a case report from Uganda. [Journal Article]Trop Med Health. 2026 Jun 24. [Online ahead of print]TM
- CONCLUSIONS: Severe Clade Ib (subclade Ib) mpox in advanced HIV can present with genital necrosis, ocular involvement, persistent lesion-site viral burden, and multidrug-resistant bacterial superinfection. Even in the absence of specific antivirals, favourable outcomes can be achieved through integrated HIV care, early culture-guided antimicrobial stewardship, and proactive ocular management.

- CONCLUSIONS: This case provides a descriptive illustration of penile carcinoma emerging in a background of chronic inflammation, highlighting the clinical realities of managing advanced disease in a resource-limited environment. It underscores the critical need for localized screening, early surgical intervention for phimosis, and improved access to molecular diagnostics in sub-Saharan Africa.

- Impact of Sexual Positioning on Stage of Syphilis at Diagnosis Among Men Who Have Sex with Men. [Journal Article]Sex Transm Dis. 2026 Jun 22. [Online ahead of print]ST
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that differences in sexual positioning may influence the stage at which syphilis is diagnosed among MSM. Further research in larger samples is needed to better understand these differences and their underlying mechanisms and to assess potential implications for clinical detection and diagnosis.

- Squamous cell carcinoma of the glans is a rare malignancy, often diagnosed at an advanced stage, and its management remains challenging. Therapeutic approaches are multimodal and depend on tumor stage, risk of recurrence, nodal involvement, and disease extent. Organ-preserving strategies are increasingly advocated, particularly in patients who refuse mutilating surgery. We report the first Morocc…

- High-risk human papillomavirus positivity and associated factors among women living with HIV in public health facilities of Mekelle, Northern Ethiopia. [Journal Article]Infect Agent Cancer. 2026 May 30; 21(1).IA
- CONCLUSIONS: The findings of the current study indicate a high burden (39.7%) of oncogenic HPV strains among HIV-positive women, though lower than the pooled estimates in sub-Saharan Africa. Notably, HPV-16 and the non-HPV-16/18 high-risk genotypes collectively accounted for the majority of infections. Factors that influenced the presence of high-risk HPV included a history of unprotected sex before marriage, oral contraceptive use, vaginal discharge, genital ulcer disease, lack of awareness regarding HPV and cervical cancer, a shorter duration since ART initiation, frequent ART interruptions, and detectable recent HIV viral loads.
