- Femoral nerve palsy in brace treatment for developmental dysplasia of the hip : incidence and outcomes in a prospective international cohort. [Multicenter Study]Bone Joint J. 2026 Jun 01; 108-B(6):840-846.BJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This is the largest multinational study to date evaluating the incidence and risk factors for the development of a femoral nerve palsy in these children. The incidence of femoral nerve palsy was 3.1%. The severity of DDH was identified as a significant risk factor for its development. The use of a Pavlik harness was significantly associated with the development of a femoral nerve palsy. Understanding the factors which influence its development will be important to optimize outcomes of treatment in children with DDH.

- Injections of the Foot and Ankle. [Review]Am Fam Physician. 2026 May; 113:431-439.AF
- Foot and ankle injections are commonly performed by family physicians for the management of musculoskeletal conditions such as plantar fasciitis, osteoarthritis, interdigital neuromas, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and pathology of the first metatarsophalangeal joint. If symptoms persist despite conservative measures, injections may improve function and reduce pain. Before an injection, the clinician s…
- Efficacy and Safety of Carpal Tunnel Release in Patients Aged 70 Years and Older: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis. [Systematic Review]Med Sci (Basel). 2026 May 20; 14(2).MS
- Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most prevalent peripheral nerve entrapment neuropathy, with rising incidence in aging populations. Uncertainty persists regarding the efficacy and safety of carpal tunnel release (CTR) in patients aged ≥ 70 years. Objectives: To systematically evaluate the indications, clinical outcomes, and utility of CTR in elderly patients (≥70 years), with compa…

- Fibrous and membranous tissues of the tarsal tunnel; quantitative 3D anatomy using a digital microscribe. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: These data strongly suggest that the fibrous skeleton may compress the neurovasculature and may need to be considered in the diagnosis and management of tarsal tunnel syndrome. Surgically, this may more precisely inform which tissues need to be targeted for tarsal tunnel release.

- Clinical, Electrophysiological, and Neuropathological Features of Peripheral Neuropathies in People With T-Cell Lymphoproliferative Disorder. [Multicenter Study]Neurology. 2026 Jun 23; 106(12):e218057.Neur
- CONCLUSIONS: T-Ly-associated PN are predominantly driven by neurolymphomatosis and exhibit more severe clinical profiles and poorer neurologic outcomes than B-Ly-associated PN. Dysimmune neuropathies represent a substantial subset, particularly in angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. Limitations include the retrospective design and heterogeneity of diagnostic investigations. These findings underscore the need for early recognition and mechanism-specific therapeutic strategies.
