- Sarcoidosis presenting as fulminant bilateral multifocal choroiditis. [Journal Article]J Ophthalmic Inflamm Infect. 2026 Jun 06. [Online ahead of print]JO
- CONCLUSIONS: Sarcoidosis may present as fulminant bilateral multifocal choroiditis even when serum ACE and thoracic imaging are normal. Careful general examination for peripheral lymphadenopathy, including inguinal nodes, may help identify an accessible extrathoracic biopsy target, facilitating timely tissue confirmation and early immunosuppression.

- [Migraine attack therapy: from new efficacy criteria to novel therapeutic formulations]. [Journal Article]Zh Nevrol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova. 2026; 126(5):101-107.ZN
- Migraines represent one of the most prevalent and debilitating neurological disorders. In terms of quality-of-life impairment and the degree of disability incurred, severe migraine attacks align with the World Health Organization (WHO) level 7 disability, comparable to conditions such as tetraparesis, psychosis, and dementia. The severity of migraine attacks is influenced not only by the intensit…

- CONCLUSIONS: Deep lamellar corneal suturing combined with anterior chamber gas injection safely and effectively controls acute corneal edema in patients with keratoconus complicated by retinitis pigmentosa and nystagmus. This approach effectively prevents severe complications such as corneal perforation and neovascularization, making it the preferred clinical solution for improving the prognosis of such low-vision patients with acute corneal hydrops.

- A Case of Linear IgA Bullous Dermatosis of Childhood With Ocular Involvement: A Diagnostic Challenge. [Journal Article]Cornea. 2026 Jun 03. [Online ahead of print]C
- CONCLUSIONS: Autoimmune blistering disease should be considered in children with ocular ulcers, especially when accompanied by cutaneous manifestations. Early biopsy, timely diagnosis, and multidisciplinary management can lead to significant clinical improvement.

- The impact of vision impairment on living with congenital aniridia: a pan-European survey study. [Journal Article]Orphanet J Rare Dis. 2026 Jun 02. [Online ahead of print]OJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Congenital aniridia is characterized by multiple ocular symptoms experienced frequently, affecting daily living in all age groups. Areas to be addressed include provision of adequate symptom relief and improving inclusion, independence, and quality of life for this rare patient group, particularly for children.

- Blue Dacryorrhea After Inadvertent Infiltration of the Lacrimal Gland During Scleral Tattooing. [Journal Article]Cornea. 2026 May 18. [Online ahead of print]C
- CONCLUSIONS: This case expands the known spectrum of scleral tattoo-related complications to include lacrimal gland involvement and pigmented tearing. It demonstrates that severe adnexal morbidity can occur even in the absence of globe penetration. Ophthalmologists should be aware of this potential complication and carefully examine the lacrimal system in patients with a history of ocular body modification. This report underscores the substantial risks of scleral tattooing and reinforces the need for patient counseling against the procedure.

- Management of Post-Dural Puncture Headache in Postpartum Women: A Clinical and Therapeutic Update. [Review]Cureus. 2026 Apr; 18(4):e107980.C
- Post-dural puncture headache (PDPH) is a common complication of neuraxial anesthesia, particularly in the obstetric population, where its incidence is higher due to the frequent use of epidural techniques and the occurrence of accidental dural puncture. The condition arises from cerebrospinal fluid leakage following disruption of the dura mater, leading to intracranial hypotension, compensatory c…

- Parental knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors toward childhood headache: the impact of parental migraine. [Multicenter Study]
- CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, children show similar headache characteristics except for accompanying symptoms, regardless of the presence of migraine in their families. The presence of migraine in family members is associated with increased awareness of familial risk, but it does not appear to significantly influence healthcare-seeking behavior. These results suggest that educational programs for parents can improve holistic migraine management in children, thus preventing the development of chronic migraine.

- Population Pharmacokinetics and Exposure-Response Analyses for Ubrogepant Efficacy and Safety in the Acute Treatment of Migraine: Analysis of Phase 1-3 Studies. [Journal Article]J Clin Pharmacol. 2026 Jun; 66(6):e70175.JC
- A population pharmacokinetic (popPK) model was developed for ubrogepant using data from 10 Phase 1, 1 Phase 2, and 2 Phase 3 studies. The data were described by a 2-compartment model with linear elimination and transit compartment absorption. Formulation, food intake, race, gender, and hepatic impairment had a statistically significant impact on ubrogepant PK. Significant exposure-response relati…

- Matrix and graphical representation of the primary headache syndromes in the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD3): a basis for automated diagnosis and analysis of criteria. [Journal Article]Front Neurol. 2026; 17:1812996.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Our result demonstrates that ICHD3 is a mathematical entity and that headache diagnoses can exist in a 63-dimensional vector space. This mathematical embodiment of classification allows us to conduct (1) large scale systematic investigations of relationships between headache and phenotypes, (2) generate a graphical representation of characteristics and phenotypes and (3) potentially improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

- Antinociceptive Effects of Exogenous and Endogenous Carbon Monoxide in the Nitroglycerin-Induced Migraine Model in Rats. [Journal Article]Int J Mol Sci. 2026 May 13; 27(10).IJ
- Migraines are a common neurological disorder that significantly reduces quality of life. The sensitization of trigeminal afferents is a key factor in the development of the pain syndrome associated with migraine. Carbon monoxide (CO) is produced endogenously by heme oxygenase (HO), widely expressed in structures involved in pain processing. In our study, the role of CO in an acute and chronic nit…

- Objectives: Oculocutaneous albinism (OCA), a group of inherited disorders characterized by deficient melanin synthesis, leads to hypopigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes. OCA type 2 (OCA2) is caused by mutations in OCA2. This study aimed to characterize the comprehensive clinical and genetic spectrum of OCA2, and to identify the key ocular determinants of visual acuity. Methods: We enrolled 9…
