- Quantitative CT Patterns and Functional Loss Related to Welding Fume Exposure, While Handling the Confounding Effect of Cigarette Smoking. [Journal Article]Can Respir J. 2026; 2026(1):e2406824.CR
- CONCLUSIONS: We identified functional losses and distinct QCT patterns associated with exposure to WF and cigarette smoke, both of which may cause chronic lung inflammation. These findings may offer valuable insights for further research.

- Association between blood metabolites and chronic respiratory diseases: A Mendelian randomization study. [Journal Article]Medicine (Baltimore). 2026 Apr 24; 105(17):e48317.M
- Chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) are a growing global health concern. Emerging evidence implicates circulating metabolites in their development and progression, but definitive causal insights into how metabolic patterns influence disease pathways remain limited. We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to evaluate potential causal effects of 1400 serum metabolites on 5 m…

- Case Report: Methanol poisoning mimicking acute coronary syndrome-a fatal case of massive intracranial hemorrhage on dual antiplatelet therapy. [Case Reports]Front Cardiovasc Med. 2026; 13:1801376.FC
- This manuscript describes a fatal case of a 45-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain, hypertension (198/115 mmHg), and electrocardiogram changes mimicking acute coronary syndrome (ACS) 30 h after ingesting adulterated alcohol. Uniquely, chest pain was the sole initial manifestation, without visual disturbances, gastrointestinal symptoms, or any other classic methanol features, creatin…

- Intersoftware variability in SPECT quality control: A technical note on analytical discrepancies and compliance decisions. [Journal Article]J Appl Clin Med Phys. 2026 May; 27(5):e70595.JA
- CONCLUSIONS: We found significant disparities between software packages in both file reading capability and the analysis of key QC performance indicators. These differences directly impact the accuracy of equipment performance evaluations and interinstitutional comparability, potentially leading to divergent conclusions regarding the same device's compliance status.

- Anthracotic Right Supraclavicular Lymph Node Mimicking Metastasis on FDG-PET/CT in Endometrial Carcinosarcoma: A Case Report. [Case Reports]In Vivo. 2026 May-Jun; 40(3):1803-1809.V
- CONCLUSIONS: Right supraclavicular nodal anthracosis may cause false-positive FDG-PET/CT findings, potentially related to lymphatic migration of carbon-laden macrophages via rare variant thoracic duct anatomy. Histologic confirmation is essential to avoid misdiagnosis and inappropriate disease upstaging.

- Non-Pharmacological Pulmonary Rehabilitation in Patients with Pneumoconiosis: A Systematic Review. [Systematic Review]Adv Respir Med. 2026 Mar 31; 94(2).AR
- CONCLUSIONS: Non-pharmacological rehabilitation may provide clinically meaningful benefits for patients with pneumoconiosis, based on limited and heterogeneous evidence, particularly in terms of functional capacity and quality of life. Nevertheless, the current evidence base is limited by heterogeneity in study design and outcome reporting. Further high-quality, standardized trials are needed to strengthen the evidence and guide the clinical implementation of rehabilitation programs for occupational lung diseases.

- Toxicity-guided dose modification for disseminated Nocardia farcinica brain abscess in a patient with pneumoconiosis: a brief research report. [Journal Article]Front Pharmacol. 2026; 17:1805920.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: In extreme circumstances of severe dose-limiting toxicity, temporary TMP-SMX dose reduction with intensive monitoring may be feasible as a bridge to complete guideline-concordant therapy, though this approach falls below current recommendations and requires robust therapeutic drug monitoring. Species-directed antimicrobial selection and early molecular diagnosis facilitated initial clinical resolution in this high-risk immunocompromised host.

- [Differences in DNA methylation alterations in blood samples from patients with silicosis and coal workers' pneumoconiosis]. [Journal Article]Wei Sheng Yan Jiu. 2026 Mar; 55(2):297-310.WS
- CONCLUSIONS: There are differences in the distribution of DMGs in blood samples from patients with silicosis and CWP, as well as in the involved biological processes and regulatory mechanisms.

- Parabens exposure, depression, and cardiovascular metabolic health in the elderly: Findings from a cross-sectional study in China. [Journal Article]Ecotoxicol Environ Saf. 2026 May; 316:120153.EE
- Parabens, ubiquitous preservatives with endocrine-disrupting potential, may adversely affect mental and cardiometabolic health, but evidence in elderly populations is limited. This study aimed to explore the relationships between urinary parabens and the risk of major depressive disorder (MDD) and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases (CMDs) among 921 community-dwelling elderly participants (aged…

- Tryptophan metabolism in neonicotinoids exposure-induced diabetes: Emerging insights and predictive implications. [Journal Article]Ecotoxicol Environ Saf. 2026 May; 316:120168.EE
- CONCLUSIONS: This study reveals a dose-dependent association between neonicotinoid exposure and diabetes in older adults, accompanied by disturbances in tryptophan metabolite profiles. These findings provide new evidence for global research on the metabolic toxicity of environmental neonicotinoids and international public health risk assessment.

- Artificial Intelligence in Occupational Health Surveillance: Evaluating AI-Assisted ILO Classification of Radiographs of Pneumoconioses. [Journal Article]Med Lav. 2026 Apr 22; 117(2):18371.ML
- CONCLUSIONS: All AI models partially followed structured ILO radiographic criteria but did not achieve expert-level performance, confirming that they cannot replace certified B Readers. Larger, real-world datasets are needed to assess their potential clinical utility as supportive tools in occupational health surveillance programs.

- CONCLUSIONS: CRDs caused heavy burdens and deaths. Some risk factors (environmental pollution, high BMI and tobacco use) need to be urgently managed and improved, especially in areas with low and low-middle SDI levels. The correlation between elevated ASIR of ILD and pulmonary sarcoidosis and increasing of SDI needs to be given more attention.
