- Ultrasound-guided preseptal hydrodissection with 5% dextrose in water for persistent botulinum toxin-associated ptosis: a technical protocol. [Journal Article]Front Ophthalmol (Lausanne). 2026; 6:1792644.FO
- CONCLUSIONS: This work standardizes a technical protocol for a potential adjunctive intervention in persistent BoNT-A-associated ptosis. The findings are descriptive and hypothesis-generating, positioning the technique for consideration only after standard measures fail. Prospective controlled trials are required to establish efficacy and safety.

- Thiersch's operation for rectal prolapse management. [Journal Article]Turk J Surg. 2026 Jun 03. [Online ahead of print]TJ
- Thiersch's operation is a kind of suture technique to narrow the patulous anus for the treatment of rectal prolapse. It can be applied under local anaesthesia to elderly patients who can not tolerate major surgery. It also can be used as a temporary treatment untill the definitive treatment is planned. We demonstrated a simple way of the Thiersch operation with a video presentation. We also repor…

- Beating-heart mitral valve replacement assisted by rapid ventricular pacing after Bentall procedure: a case report. [Journal Article]J Cardiothorac Surg. 2026 Jun 02. [Online ahead of print]JC
- CONCLUSIONS: This case demonstrates that beating-heart MVR with RVP, without aortic cross-clamping, can be used as a viable and feasible option in selected patients who are at a high risk of complications secondary to routine CPB and cardioplegia.

- Clinical Comparison of Sacrohysteropexy and Uterosacral Ligament Suspension in Uterovaginal Prolapse Repair: A Randomized Clinical Trial. [Journal Article]Int Urogynecol J. 2026 Jun 02. [Online ahead of print]IU
- CONCLUSIONS: Both open abdominal sacrohysteropexy and abdominal high uterosacral ligament suspension provide effective apical support in premenopausal women seeking uterine preservation. Although overall success rates were comparable, uterosacral ligament suspension was associated with shorter operative time and reduced perioperative morbidity. Surgical choice should be individualized, and larger studies with longer follow-up are warranted.

- CONCLUSIONS: Single-port laparoscopic lateral suspension may represent a feasible minimally invasive alternative to conventional multiport sacrohysteropexy, demonstrating comparable short-term anatomical and functional outcomes with potential perioperative advantages. Further prospective studies are required to confirm these findings.

- Cardiac surgical outcomes and predictors of redo sternotomy in patients with Marfan syndrome: a retrospective multicentre cohort study. [Journal Article]Open Heart. 2026 Jun 02; 13(1).OH
- CONCLUSIONS: In this large multicentre cohort of adults with MFS, cardiac surgery was common, and redo sternotomy occurred frequently among operated patients. These findings provide a contemporary description of the long-term need for cardiac surgery in adults with MFS managed at tertiary referral centres.

- Separation Anxiety Disorder in Youth With Mitral Valve Prolapse: Associations With Parental Attitudes and Anxiety Sensitivity. [Journal Article]J Dev Behav Pediatr. 2026 Jun 02. [Online ahead of print]JD
- CONCLUSIONS: Youth with MVP exhibit elevated separation anxiety, suggesting that somatic cues linked to benign cardiac findings may interface with family context to increase separation-related vulnerability. Integrating mental health assessment into routine pediatric cardiology care may facilitate early identification and intervention.

- Labia Majora Lipofilling During Body Contouring: Complications. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Combining labia majora lipofilling genital and body contouring surgeries may lead to serious complications. Labial fat grafts may experience resorption, while the thigh-to-labium adipo-fascial flap can durably maintain the achieved fullness.

- Tension in transverse structures in women with pelvic organ prolapse - Preliminary observations. [Journal Article]Womens Health (Lond). 2026; 22:17455057261450172.WH
- BackgroundPhysiotherapy treatment for women with pelvic organ prolapse (POP) requires a holistic approach based on tensegrity theory and fascial connections.ObjectiveThe study examined the tension of transverse body structures (transverse diaphragms) in healthy women and women with pelvic organ prolapse. To draw attention to the fact that treating women with pelvic organ prolapse requires a holis…

- Association of Mitral Annular Disjunction on Magnetic Resonance Imaging With Cardiovascular Outcomes. [Journal Article]Eur J Clin Invest. 2026 Jun; 56(6):e70235.EJ
- CONCLUSIONS: MAD is common and prognostically neutral after adjustment. However, larger disjunction distances are associated with higher native T1 relaxation time values at the annulus, suggesting local subclinical myocardial remodelling.

- Two-Port Totally Laparoscopic Colonopexy for the Treatment of Recurrent Rectal Prolapse in a Cat: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Vet Med Sci. 2026 Jul; 12(4):e71011.VM
- CONCLUSIONS: A two-port totally laparoscopic colonopexy provided effective stabilization of the colon and successful resolution of recurrent rectal prolapse in this cat. This approach may represent a valuable minimally invasive alternative in selected feline patients, particularly those with behavioural limitations that restrict postoperative handling and medical management.

- Fully Extraperitoneal Robotic Sacrohysteropexy Compared With Transperitoneal Robotic Sacrocervicopexy for Anterior and Apical Pelvic Organ Prolapse. [Journal Article]Int J Urol. 2026 Jun; 33(6):e70508.IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: EP‑RSH may represent a feasible and safe expert‑level alternative to RSC in carefully selected patients. When performed by experienced robotic surgeons, EP‑RSH achieved comparable short‑term outcomes while avoiding peritoneal entry and Trendelenburg positioning. Further multicenter validation and structured training are warranted.
