- Features and functionality of the Iterapi platform for internet-based psychological treatments: An update. [Journal Article]Internet Interv. 2026 Sep; 45:100955.II
- Internet-based cognitive behaviour therapy (ICBT) is now a well-established treatment modality supported by numerous controlled trials. Platforms for delivering these interventions have become critical infrastructure for both research and clinical practice, yet platform descriptions remain rare in the literature. In this article, we provide an updated description of the Iterapi platform, original…

- Braided Versus Laser-Cut Stents in Venous Sinus Stenting for Pulsatile Tinnitus: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. [Journal Article]AJNR Am J Neuroradiol. 2026 Jun 03. [Online ahead of print]AA
- CONCLUSIONS: VSS is associated with high rates of symptom improvement and low complication rates in patients with PT, with no significant differences in clinical outcomes between braided and laser-cut stents or between IIH and isolated PT.

- Sequential Contralateral Venous Sinus Stenting for Persistent or Recurrent Symptoms Following Unilateral Stenting: A Single-Center Case Series. [Journal Article]World Neurosurg. 2026 Jun 02; :125096. [Online ahead of print]WN
- CONCLUSIONS: In selected patients with persistent or recurrent symptoms after unilateral CVSS, sequential contralateral stenting appears safe and provides meaningful clinical benefit, supporting consideration of this approach and the need for prospective evaluation.

- Reversible bilateral sensorineural hearing loss associated with atorvastatin: a case report. [Journal Article]J Med Case Rep. 2026 Jun 02. [Online ahead of print]JM
- CONCLUSIONS: This case demonstrates that atorvastatin-associated SNHL can be reversible when recognized early. Prompt identification of new auditory symptoms and timely discontinuation of the offending medication may prevent permanent hearing impairment.

- Increments in physical activity relate to reductions in tinnitus severity: a 2-year prospective observational study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In this longitudinal observational study, higher and sustained levels of physical activity-particularly vigorous-intensity leisure-time activity-were consistently associated with more favorable tinnitus severity trajectories over time, whereas reductions in physical activity were associated with worsening tinnitus severity.

- Evaluation of sigmoid sinus hemodynamics through four-dimensional flow magnetic resonance imaging in pulsatile tinnitus patients caused by sigmoid sinus wall dehiscence coexisting with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: SSWD-PT patients have hemodynamic changes in the sigmoid sinus. The combination of Vtp_max and WSSavg may serve as a valuable noninvasive indicator for differentiating SSWD-PT patients from healthy controls.

- Clinical features and efficacy analysis of idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss in children: a single-center, retrospective study (2015-2025). [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Individualized comprehensive treatment can improve the prognosis of children with ISSNHL, and stratified treatment strategies should be formulated for different patient populations.

- Idiopathic intracranial hypertension presenting with obsessive thoughts: a rare neuropsychiatric manifestation "case report". [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This case illustrates IIH presenting with predominant psychiatric manifestations mimicking primary OCD. The dramatic resolution of compulsive symptoms following intracranial pressure normalization suggests a possible association between IIH and obsessive thoughts. Clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for IIH in atypical psychiatric presentations accompanied by headache, tinnitus, or visual symptoms; in such cases, routine fundoscopy is essential.

- A large sample survey of preferences in the content and frequency of educational and counseling messages for mHealth-based behavioral change in tinnitus. [Journal Article]Patient Educ Couns. 2026 May 30; 150:109718. [Online ahead of print]PE
- CONCLUSIONS: This study identified key messages for use of a mobile health (mHealth) strategy for tinnitus management. Most participants viewed messaging as potentially useful in a mHealth solution for tinnitus.

- Delayed-onset cavernous sinus dural arteriovenous fistula after nasoseptal flap reconstruction: illustrative case. [Journal Article]J Neurosurg Case Lessons. 2026 Jun 01; 11(22).JN
- CONCLUSIONS: Pathophysiology likely involved postoperative inflammation and angiogenesis triggered by delayed hemorrhage and subsequent healing. The proximity of the NSF to the medial CS wall may have facilitated abnormal shunting between the SPA-supplied flap and venous sinus. Despite the efficacy of NSF, clinicians must recognize its potential as a vascular source of dAVF. https://thejns.org/doi/10.3171/CASE26300.

- Mastoid emissary vein, mastoid emissary foramen, and mastoid emissary canal: anatomy, variability, imaging, and clinical implications. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: MEV/MEC/MEF should be assessed systematically on preoperative imaging, including presence, number, calibre, and relationships to surgical landmarks. Consistent reporting may reduce avoidable haemorrhagic and diagnostic complications.

- Conservative management of functional middle ear disorders: a systematic review with narrative synthesis and conceptual clinical framework. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Conservative management offers potential symptomatic benefit with generally favorable safety profiles for FMEDs, particularly in pediatric and mild-to-moderate adult cases. FMEDs often present concomitantly and might be pathophysiologically interconnected. Thus, therapies targeting one disorder may confer improvement in others. Structured, stepwise treatment, beginning with education, counseling, and simple topical agents, and progressing to targeted pharmacologic or minimally invasive measures, may be used prior to surgical intervention, although comparative effectiveness per se was not assessed.

- Diagnostic utility of audiologic parameters in sudden hearing loss: a multivariable logistic regression study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The logistic regression model effectively differentiated individuals with and without SHL. Nearly half of the patients presenting with suspected SHL had normal hearing (45.4%), and 14.8% demonstrated findings consistent with middle ear pathology. These results highlight the substantial clinical burden associated with suspected SHL referrals and suggest that the coexistence of multiple symptoms may complicate the diagnostic process.

- Electroacupuncture and Low-Level Laser Therapy for the Management of Ménière's Disease-Case Report. [Case Reports]Integr Med (Encinitas). 2026 Apr; 25(2):42-45.IM
- Ménière's Disease (MD) typically presents with the classic triad of symptoms of vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. MD significantly impacts a patient's quality of life and their ability to carry out basic daily functions. This case report describes how electroacupuncture and Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) were used concurrently to assist a patient suffering from MD to achieve substantial recove…
- Acquired external auditory canal stenosis: clinical characteristics, surgical strategies and prognostic analysis. [Journal Article]Front Pediatr. 2026; 14:1814290.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: This study tentatively indicates that there exist disparities in the clinical characteristics of acquired external auditory canal stenosis between children and adults. The risk of postoperative restenosis in children is notably elevated, and this tendency might be associated with the inherent anatomical fragility and robust tissue proliferation capacity in children. Comprehensive preoperative imaging assessment, individualized surgical plan development, standardized drug-eluting stent implantation, structured long-term postoperative follow-up, and postoperative care may be conducive to enhancing the prognosis of acquired external auditory canal stenosis in children. Multicenter prospective studies with a larger sample size are required to further validate the optimal treatment strategy for acquired external auditory canal stenosis in children.
