- Does Gestational Diabetes Increase Urinary Incontinence During Pregnancy? A Cross-Sectional Study of Symptom Patterns and Incontinence-Related Quality of Life. [Journal Article]Neurourol Urodyn. 2026 Jun 26. [Online ahead of print]NU
- CONCLUSIONS: Gestational diabetes mellitus was not associated with increased prevalence of urinary incontinence during pregnancy. Obstetric factors, particularly parity, appeared to be more closely associated with urinary incontinence than GDM status. Higher I-QOL scores in women with GDM should be interpreted cautiously and may reflect healthcare-related or perceptual factors rather than a protective association. However, urgency urinary incontinence was more frequent in women with GDM.

- Giant Retroperitoneal Lumbar Schwannoma with Extensive Vertebral Body Erosion Managed Without Spinal Instrumentation: The Potential Role of Hounsfield Unit Assessment in Surgical Decision-Making. [Case Reports]J Clin Med. 2026 Jun 09; 15(12).JC
- Background: Giant retroperitoneal schwannomas with vertebral body erosion are exceedingly rare, and the decision regarding spinal instrumentation following tumor resection remains controversial in the absence of established guidelines. A 25% vertebral body involvement threshold has been proposed as an indication for fixation, yet this criterion does not account for bone quality or the potential b…

- Prevalence of and Factors Associated with Overactive Bladder, Anxiety, and Depression Among Patients with Multiple Sclerosis: A Cross-Sectional Study in Saudi Arabia. [Journal Article]Clin Pract. 2026 Jun 15; 16(6).CP
- CONCLUSIONS: Approximately one in two MS patients experience either depression or OAB, while anxiety was reported by fewer than half of the patients. This high prevalence of the three outcomes has critical implications for healthcare policy and resource allocation. Thus, screening, early diagnosis, and intervention, as well as integrated care, should be prioritized by healthcare institutions and practitioners to address these conditions and improve MS patients' quality of life.

- Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have beneficially impacted cancer therapy but are frequently associated with immune-related adverse events (irAEs), most commonly affecting the skin and gastrointestinal system. By contrast, genitourinary toxicities are rare and often underrecognized. The present case report outlines a 62-year-old male with metastatic colorectal cancer who developed pan-urinary…

- Psychological distress is a major public health issue with multisystemic effects, yet its multidimensional nature and specific links to urogenital disorders remain inadequately characterized due to methodological limitations of prior studies. This large-scale study utilized data from the UK Biobank (N = 501,988) to investigate both cross-sectional and prospective associations between six validate…

- Which investigations should be performed after a first episode of urinary tract infection in men? [Review]Infect Dis Now. 2026 Jun 20; 56(6S):105315. [Online ahead of print]ID
- Following a first male urinary tract infection (mUTI), systematic investigation for predisposing factors is called for, as mUTIs frequently arise secondarily to anatomical or functional urinary tract abnormalities. Although no international consensus defines a minimal etiological work-up, guidelines from the French (AFU) and European (EAU) Associations of Urology provide a clinical framework. Fir…

- Posterior urethral valves (PUV) are rare congenital malformations affecting both the upper and lower urinary tract and can lead to severe long-term complications. Thanks to advances in prenatal diagnostics, neonatal care, and pediatric urological-nephrological management, an increasing number of patients now reach adulthood. Long-term outcomes are primarily determined by the extent of prenatal re…

- Interstitial cystitis (IC) and bladder pain syndrome (BPS) have several clinical phenotypes. However, these subtypes may have similar symptoms, such as bladder pain, frequency, urgency, and functional somatic syndrome. A global consensus has been reached that bladders with characteristic Hunner's ulcer lesions are classified as IC, whereas those without Hunner's ulcer are classified as non-ulcer …
