- Cultural, Societal, and Behavioral Contributors to Delays in Seeking Care for Postmenopausal Bleeding Among Disaggregated Populations of Black Women. [Journal Article]Int J Environ Res Public Health. 2026 May 14; 23(5).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Findings suggest that PMB appraisal and anticipated care-seeking vary by nativity and language among Black women. Nativity- and language-tailored community education and navigation strategies may improve symptom recognition and support timely evaluation, but future quantitative studies are needed to test whether these approaches reduce pre-diagnostic intervals for endometrial cancer.

- Temporal Clustering of Endometrial Cancer and Hyperplasia in HRT Users with Unscheduled Bleeding: A Retrospective NHS Cohort Study. [Journal Article]Curr Oncol. 2026 May 12; 33(5).CO
- Background: Unscheduled bleeding in postmenopausal women on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) represents a common but poorly characterised clinical challenge. Whilst endometrial cancer affects approximately 9% of women with unexplained postmenopausal bleeding, existing evidence in HRT users is largely restricted to women under 60 years and short-duration regimens, leaving a critical evidence gap …

- Comparison of Hysteroscopic and Blind Endometrial Biopsy Techniques in Postmenopausal Women. [Journal Article]JSLS. 2026; 30(2).JSLS
- CONCLUSIONS: Pipelle endometrial biopsy provides the highest rate of tissue adequacy in postmenopausal women; however, hysteroscopy-guided biopsy-particularly with grasper forceps-also yields acceptable adequacy and offers the advantage of targeted sampling. Cellular insufficiency appears to be the primary limitation to tissue adequacy in postmenopausal endometrium.

- Clinical and ultrasound features of ovarian sclerosing stromal tumors: a large single-center case series. [Journal Article]Quant Imaging Med Surg. 2026 May 01; 16(5):401.QI
- CONCLUSIONS: OSST presents across a wide age spectrum with nonspecific symptoms. Its sonographic features, particularly the combination of a well-defined solid-cystic mass with prominent peripheral vascularity, are characteristic but often lead to indeterminate or suspicious O-RADS classification. Awareness of its benign nature and variable presentation is crucial to guide appropriate, fertility-sparing surgical management.

- Prolonged disease-free survival with immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy in a patient with advanced stage large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the uterus. [Case Reports]Gynecol Oncol Rep. 2026 Jun; 65:102090.GO
- CONCLUSIONS: This case illustrates that aggressive multimodal therapy including immune checkpoint inhibition may achieve durable disease control in advanced-stage MMR-deficient uterine LCNEC. While the relative contributions of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy cannot be separated, the favorable outcome supports further investigation of immunotherapy in rare high-grade endometrial neuroendocrine carcinomas and underscores the importance of including these histologies in clinical trials.

- Case Report: Hormone receptor-positive uterine mesonephric-like adenocarcinoma. [Case Reports]Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1787557.FM
- CONCLUSIONS: This study aims to enhance clinicians' recognition and management of uterine mesonephric-like adenocarcinoma. MLA with hormone receptor expression may exhibit distinct biological behavior. Future studies with larger cohorts and longer follow-up are needed to explore whether these tumors could represent a candidate for endocrine-based therapeutic approaches.

- Thirteen Foreign Bodies Retained in the Vagina for More Than 20 Years in a Postmenopausal Woman: Case Report. [Case Reports]Int J Womens Health. 2026; 18:592816.IJ
- Vaginal foreign bodies (VFBs) can affect women of all ages, but they are most frequently observed in the pediatric population. Such cases are relatively uncommon in women of reproductive age and postmenopausal women, and the long-term retention of foreign bodies in adults is particularly rare. We report a case of a 53-year-old postmenopausal woman with a history of bipolar disorder and autism spe…

- Endometrial Cancer: A Review. [Review]JAMA. 2026 May 12; 335(18):1616-1627.JAMA
- CONCLUSIONS: Endometrial cancer accounts for 95% of uterine cancers, which are the fourth most common cancer in women in the US. Surgery is first-line treatment. Adjuvant radiation is recommended for early-stage, high-intermediate risk endometrial cancer. Adjuvant chemotherapy with carboplatin and paclitaxel is recommended for early-stage disease with aggressive histologic subtypes and advanced-stage disease, which is also treated with immunotherapy in some cases.

- Müllerian adenosarcoma in a young adult: A case report and literature review of diagnostic and management challenges. [Case Reports]Gynecol Oncol Rep. 2026 Apr; 64:102069.GO
- CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights a rare high-grade presentation in a young adult. Despite aggressive histological features, the absence of myometrial invasion supports definitive surgery followed by intensive long-term surveillance. This report underscores the necessity of a high index of suspicion for malignancy in recurrent polypoid masses within the reproductive age group and addresses critical gaps regarding fertility preservation and age-specific management protocols.
