The following special features allow you to customize your experience. Access and organize the information you need in the way that works best for you.
Select Preferred Index
Your content resources may be organized by more than one index. Using this feature, you can set the default index to the one you prefer.
For example, lets say a resource includes both an alphabetical index and a topical index. You use both, but prefer the topical index. This feature enables you to select the topical index as your default - so each time you open the resource, that is the first index you see.
To set a Preferred Index:
- Select one of your resources.
- Access the index you want to set as preferred.
- Tap the Unbound tab at the top of the screen. A drop-down list will appear.
- Choose "Set preferred index"
- To remove a preferred index, simply select the Unbound tab again. When the drop-down list appears, choose "Remove preferred index."
To make for easier navigation, your content resources may be organized by headings and subheadings. Using this feature, you can set the default heading to the one you prefer.
For example, lets say each topic in a resource is divided into the following headings: General, Pathology, Symptoms & Signs, Diagnosis and Treatment. You use each of these, but you find it most efficient to begin with Symptoms & Signs. This feature enables you to set that particular heading as the first you see upon opening any topic.
To set a Preferred Heading:
- Select one of your resources.
- Access the heading you want to set as preferred.
- Select the Unbound tab at the top of the screen. A drop-down list will appear.
- Choose "Set preferred heading"
- To remove a preferred heading, simply select the Unbound tab again. When the drop-down list appears, choose "Remove preferred deheading."
Some applications offer several content resources. The following feature makes it simple to move from one content channel to another.
Here’s how it works:
- While in a resource, you will see that resource’s title at the top of the screen.
- Select the title. A drop-down menu will appear listing the other available content channels.
- Next, select the title of the desired resource and you will be taken directly to it.
The Home screen displays a list of your currently selected content. To open a resource, select the entry in the list.
To quickly find an entry, enter its name in "Jump to". To choose an entry, select its title. You can scroll through the list of entries by using the "Up/Down" arrows at the bottom of the display.
To make for easier navigation, each entry is divided into pages. Many entries contain subsections which you you can view by utilizing the down-arrow next to the title. In addition, you can scroll through the fields using the "Next/Previous Field" arrows.
Records can be saved to your archive on the web. Check the "More Online" box, and a request will be queued on your device. When you Sync, queued requests will be saved online where you can link to more in-depth information later.
