I want to transfer a product from my old device to a new BlackBerry phone. How can I do this?

To transfer products you must have an active subscription. Users with expired subscriptions must renew the subscription to transfer it to a new device. Unbound products are licensed for use on one device at a time.

If you have purchased a product from the Unbound Medicine store, please visit to the application’s website. Then, log in to the site and click the “Mobile” link located in the upper right corner of the page. Then, press download software.

Users who have purchased through the BlackBerry App World and need to reinstall should visit BlackBerry App World on your phone to download again.

After downloading an app, where can I find it on my BlackBerry?

For BlackBerry devices running the 4.6 to 5.0 operating system:
To locate your Unbound Medicine product, press the BlackBerry Menu button and locate the Download folder. Open the Download folder to view the Unbound Medicine product.

For BlackBerry devices running 4.0 to 4.5 and the 6.0 operating system:
To locate your Unbound Medicine product, press the BlackBerry Menu button. You’ll see an icon for your new Unbound Medicine product on the main application screen.

How do I install an application on a BlackBerry device?

BlackBerry installation is performed over the air, which means that you download the app without plugging your mobile device into your computer.

Please follow the steps below to download the application.

  • On your computer web browser, visit the website for the product you wish you install. For a list of companion websites, click here.
  • Log in to the site and click the “Mobile” link located in the upper right corner of the page. Then, click the download software link.
  • On your BlackBerry web browser, navigate to the web page provided by the website.
  • Select the link that says “Click the link to download.”
  • Open the program on the device and enter your serial number.

Which BlackBerry devices will run Unbound Medicine products?

Our software will support any BlackBerry device that supports the use of a memory/media card. Memory/media cards are required to complete the installations to the device.

I have added a memory/media card to my device but I am still unable to install the app. What should I do?

[Answer taken from the BlackBerry Support Website .]

To install an Unbound Medicine product, you must format the media card. Follow these steps:

Warning: This process will delete all data on the media card.

  • From the home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Media Card or Options > Advanced Options > Media Card. (Choose the option that appears on the BlackBerry smartphone).
  • Display the menu and click Format Card.
    Note: If Format Card option does not appear on the menu, skip step 3 and perform the procedure that follows.
  • A warning message will appear asking if you are certain you would like to format the card. Click Yes to continue.

If the Format Card option does not appear on the menu, complete the following steps:

  • On the Media Card screen, set the Mass Storage Mode Support field to Off.
  • Display the menu and click Save. The Media Card screen closes automatically.
  • Click Media Card to reopen the Media Card screen.
  • To format the media card, display the menu and click Format Card.
  • A warning message will appear asking if you are certain you would like to format the card. Click Yes to continue.

If formatting the media card on the device does not correct the problem, you will need to format the card on your PC. To do so:

  • Insert your storage card into your PC card reader.
  • On the PC, open My Computer and right click on the storage card.
  • Select Format Card. Once complete you will then be able to install the software.

How do I uninstall an Unbound Medicine product?

To uninstall our software from your BlackBerry device, please:

  • Open the program on your device and press the BlackBerry menu button.
  • Open the “About” entry and press the BlackBerry menu button again.
  • Select the option: “Remove the data completely.”
  • Then, open the options menu on your BlackBerry.
  • Select Applications. On some devices Applications can be found under Advanced Option.
  • Locate the program, press the BlackBerry button, and then select "Delete."

How do I update the content in my Unbound Medicine application?

On your BlackBerry, open the Unbound Medicine application. On the main screen, press the BlackBerry menu button, then select "Update."

Can I access Unbound Medicine products on my PC?

Installation

Learn about downloading, registering, and activating your BlackBerry product.

Registration

Begin the registration process here using your computer.

After registering, you will receive a welcome email that contains your username and password.

Download and Installation

The registration email you received contains detailed instructions on how to download your product. To begin, point your BlackBerry browser to the web address in the email and follow the instructions for downloading.

If you no longer have your registration email, visit the software download page.

Product Activation

When you open the application after downloading, you’ll be prompted to enter your serial number. Your serial number can be found in the registration email sent by Unbound Medicine Registration. Depending on the speed of your wireless network, downloading the data may take a few minutes.

Using the Application

Home Screen

The home screen displays your currently available content. To open a content resource, choose an entry from the list.

Syncing

We recommend that you sync your device often to ensure that you have the most up-to-date content. From the home screen, press "Menu" to access the appropriate pop-up menu. Next, use the trackball to highlight the Sync Server option, then press the trackball to sync.


Jump To

To find an entry quickly and to avoid scrolling through an entire index, use the Jump To feature. From the Index screen, begin typing in the "Jump to..." text box located just above the keyboard. The cursor will automatically scroll to the location in the index that matches the characters you type.

Favorites

The Unbound™ Platform allows you to mark important information as a favorite so you can return to it easily at any time. To add a favorite, first navigate from the index view to the record you’d like to indicate as a favorite. Select the Menu button, then choose "Add to My Favorites."


To remove a favorite, select it from your list to access the page. Select Menu again. When the pop-up menu appears, select "Remove from My Favorites."


To remove all of your favorites at once, return to the application’s Home screen. Click the Favorites entry (with the star icon) to access your list of favorited records. Finally, select the Menu button and then "Remove all Favorites" from the pop-up menu.


Cross Links

Unbound Medicine’s Cross Links feature enables you to access related content across an application.

This feature will only appear when linked resources are available.

To utilize Cross Links, press the Menu key while viewing a record. A pop-up menu will appear. If linked resources are available, you’ll see the Cross Links option listed in the menu. Select it, and you will be presented with a drop down menu which lists all available links. Again, simply select the desired resource and you will be taken to its page.






Selecting a Resource

The home screen displays a list of available content. To open a resource, select the entry in the list.

Reminder: The reader works with your BlackBerry’s navigation functionality to help you quickly locate the information you need. This funcionality depends on which model BlackBerry you use.

Selecting an Index

You can switch between indexes by navigating to the pop-up menu and selecting an index. Press the Menu key to access the list of available indexes. Scroll to the desired index and select it.

To find an entry quickly, use the "Jump to" feature as described above. To access an entry, highlight and then select it:




Viewing an Entry

To make for easier reading, each topic is divided into separate pages. To see the list of available pages, press the Menu key to access the pop-up menu. Next, scroll to the page you desire and select it. (Depending on which model BlackBerry you have, you can move through the pages of a record by moving the cursor to the heading field and click the trackball to scroll.)
